Dr. Stoddard is one the best professors at Duquesne. I HIGHLY recommend his class. An extremely intelligent individual who makes students excited about learning. The students in my class expressed that the class should be mandatory, because we learned such valuable information. He is the best!

The class was challenging, but Dr Stoddard is an excellent resource and will help you through it. There's quite a bit of work involved, but it's all very practical and relevant. I learned a lot from this class and would recommend it to anyone who's interested in the material or in professional development in general.

This is the best class I have had at Duquesne. Dr. Stoddard engages students in the class, explores ideas, and is very helpful with paper writing and being available outside of class to hash out ideas.

Dr. Stoddard was one of the best instructors I have had in my college career. He is knowledgable, caring, interested in helping the students do their very best and a fair grader. I enjoyed the class because he made it interesting. He included everyone in class discussions which made the class feel united.

This class was one of the most useful I took while working toward my MA. Dr. Stoddard was and is a very approachable professor who genuinely cares about this students and his community. I would recommend getting to know him and taking his classes to any student who is interested in learning how to make a positive impact in the world.

All in all, Dr. Stoddard is a great professor. You have to work hard for the grade but hey, that is what school is about. He is very approachable and I appreciate the extra help he gives to students not only in his course but other areas of academic life. I loved his policy implementation class and will advice every graduate student to take it.

I was very excited to take a service learning class and be able to work in the community, but this class was a complete disappointment. We did little to no actual work in the community, it was all "preparation," in which the grading was completely arbitrary. He is also a bit of a character, and kind of rubbed me the wrong way at times.

Awful. Awful. Awful. Do not take a policy center class w/ him as a graduate student. Seems fine at the start but can become very critical and does not keep reasonable promises such as promising to write a letter of rec. He said "yes" to the letter when he was first asked then he rescinded and put me down saying I was poor writer

You have to earn every single shred of the grade you get in this class. There is so much work to do, and on top of the class objectives, there is reading and reports to be done. He has extremely high expectations of his students, and while he can be a nice guy, he seems a little out of touch with reality. There are no tests or quizzes.

Really boring class. His grading is arbitrary. It was fun to actually DO the project but not waste 3 credits and $1,800 on a class in which I learned absolutely nothing.
