Took this class for a gen-ed art form credit & loved it! Probably the kindest/most amazing professor I've ever had. He has a wealth of knowledge/ interesting anecdotes. If you follow his instructions, you'll get a good grade on his papers. Tests covered a lot of info but definitely doable and easy if you take the time to go over everything.

The exams are consist of matching pictures and terms (along with short answer questions), but it is ridiculously difficult. Be sure to be well prepared for his exams and be sure to understand the terms because it does take a lot of points on the exam. It sounds easy but it really isn't.

One of the best professors I have ever had. Mr. Stanley is kind and genuinely cares for his students. He tells awesome life stories during his lectures about his many archaeological trips in the Mediterranean. Overall, if you go to his lectures and pay attention you will be fine and you will learn alot!

Professor Stanley is one of the best professors I have had. He has been my teacher for 4 classes now. I will complete my minor in classics with only having him as my professor. He has a lot of pictures to show, and he digresses a lot but everything pertains to the class and his stories are awesome. Just pay attention and you will do well.

Farland is by far my favorite prof of all time. His stories are worth the price of admission. He is a fountain of knowledge on the classical world. His tests can be hard if you don't go to class, but why would you miss? Matching sounds easy until you see Farland's "matching from hell" on his tests. It makes you think, which is a good thing.

He's an awesome professor! I wish he was able to teach more classes ! His tests are mostly fill in the blank and matching ... not too hard if you show up to class and take notes. He does tend to digress within a digression with great stories.

His lectures are sometimes hard to follow but his digressions usually have a point relating to the subject of the lecture, so pay attention. He cares about the students and is perfectly willing to help us get ready for tests, which are difficult. Great teacher in general.
