Comment:

The average on the first test was a 58... Which only increased because 17 people dropped the class, the literal day we got the exam back. He is a nice guy, but be prepared to study. People go into Stat thinking its an easy course, but its really not.. I got a an A, but only because i did all of the HW, and i studied, so it is possible.

Terrible at explaining even simple concepts. Very little organization in lessons. Jumps all over the place and regularly has mistakes in his examples. So afraid of "giving away answers" on HW that he won't answer questions. Relax, man, its only HW. Tests are 10 Qs, partial credit, hard. Only got an A cuz I'm good at math and remember stuff from HS.

I had him for Statistics and I definitely would not suggest taking him if you have a choice. I have never had a problem with any math professor at Camden County until I had him. I am usually an A student, but am expecting to finish with a B or even a C. Very unclear and does not explain things well.

Loved this teacher!! He moves kinda fast, but his examples and way of teaching things are very clear! He made Statistics understandable and even let me make up a few homework assignments that I missed!

the classes he teaches are not difficult. But if you have any trouble with 10 question tests his classes are the worst to take. And he offers no help or insight. Genuinely bad teacher.

Terrible teacher. Doesn't care if you understand the material as long as you memorize his way of doing things. Average grade for tests is usually 50-70. Asking questions is almost pointless, will talk down to you, repeat himself verbatim a few times, then get angry and move on. If you aren't good at math, you'll struggle to pass.

Absolutely TERRIBLE!!! Rambles all class without clearly explaining. Countless hours of online hw that he will not address any questions directly from hw only similar problems. Will not clarify after explaining a section he just tells you go get tutoring. Do not take him unless you want to devote 95% of your day to his class and still almost fail.

He teaches well, but his tests are ridiculous. He makes them so that the algebra is so hard that it doesn't matter how well you know the calc. His tests also do not reflect the hw the way he says they do. I enjoyed his class up until the end, really, but I did not get a grade that reflected my knowledge and I would never take him again.

I took him for calc3 and linear algebra at the same semester. He was extremely tough, the kind of teacher you never expect to exist, gives tons of homework , doesnt give extra credits, his exams mostly come from his notes, and the grading is not fair at all. he takes off most of all yr grades for tiny tinny mistake. I would never take him again!!!

Had him in the fall 2012. He was not very helpful. If you asked a question in class he would ask you to wait till the end of the class. He never did a review for any of his exams in class they were all done online. He was not helpful for most students. Taken his class was equal to an online class. The class started off full by the end 11 students.

Had him for Statistics. He seems very knowlegable about the material and encourages anyone to ask questions. He lectures at a fast pace and you must study almost every day. Also, the textbook I used helped me a lot to ractice.

He is extremely tough. He gives you notes and then tons of homework that is not graded. His tests are 8-11 questions long. Class average for tests are around 50-75. He doesn't care that they are so low. Plus he takes forever to hand back tests. Drop him if you are not a math major.

If you can devote all your time to this class, you'll do fine. He requires you to do large amounts of homework, but doesn't count it as a grade, which sucks because his tests are difficult. No open notes, No extra credit, no curve. His class averages on tests were F's but he didn't see anything wrong with that. I wouldn't retake him. Good luck.

Prof. Gonzalez is a very smart and nice man. He knows alot about his stuff. I had him for Calc III and it was a very tough course. If you're taking it you need to study almost every day, show up to every class on time, take good notes and ASK QUESTIONS!!! Not only can the material be very difficult at times, you may not always understand him.
