Has a few tests but good luck learning from the lectures. Scattered and not engaging at all. Third time having him and have hated every class and not learned much.

Ercal is borderline incompetent. He is unable to correctly and clearly answer most questions that he is asked. There have been several occurrences where he was unable to solve his own examples. I had him for numerical methods and operating systems. He was of no help for either class and was an even worse advisor. 0/10 would not recommend

He doesn't make his own slides, and is often confused about them. When he does examples, always makes a mistake, then have to spend time finding the mistake. Confusing.

Ercal doesn't make his own slides and he is often confused with the subject he is teaching. He writes exactly what is in his notes and speaks out loud what he is writing. I've learned more from Youtube videos than what he could teach me.

Class was out of 3 homeworks(programming projects), and 2 tests. Tests allowed a crib sheet, and he takes questions from a sample pool he provides. Doesn't write his own slides, and sitting through class is generally painful. That being said, it was easy to take this class and get a passing grade to have it done.

Dr. Ercal doesn't write his own slides and therefore can only teach what someone else has put on the slides and mostly reads right from them. The class needs more of a hands on component instead of just 2 Tests/2 Quizzes/2 Homeworks

3 programming assignments and 2 tests. Gives Q&A pool with most of the test questions to study. Doesn't care if you come to class or not. Might be better teachers if you really wanna learn the stuff, but if you just want to get the class out of the way, Ercal makes it pretty painless.

Reads off powerpoint presentations. Often has to stop and learn the material himself in the middle of class. Will skip content he doesn't understand but ask you to know it. Not very clear on material. Very nice instructor, but very arrogant when you ask for help. Horrible experience.

The class was really interesting and you'll learn something from the programming projects. He usually use old assignments and he doesn't review them before he post them so he is easily confused when you ask him. Good guy though! Grader wasn't the best . Exams from a Q/A pool.Check his website before you take his class

There are four programming projects that are fairly difficult, but the tests are easy as long as you put the test pool info on your crib sheet and take a look at the powerpoint slides. Lectures are monotonous but attendance isn't necessary, though you might get a few bonus points for showing up when nobody else does.

I liked the class but he was boring and read from the slids more often. For this course all you need to do is do your 4 programming projects and for the exams just get you crib sheet ready from a question pool he'll give you. Easy A wihtout attendance

Bright, cares about students, understands where to go slow and where to go fast. Unfortunately, extremely disorganized presentations coupled with a poor understanding of the programming assignments crippled his teaching ability.

Excellent teacher, atleast at heart. Understands students' problems and helps them. Slides r pathetic. Just text files and not very informative. But, I enjoyed his class and so did all who took the course.
