Quiet- must sit in front of room to hear. Boring. Tests are mostly short answer and pretty difficult. The textbook is expensive and unnecessary unless you dont go to lecture.

Dr. Tierson was hilarious always cracking a joke or two. The informaion presented was difficult to follow. However, that did not matter as there were only 3 test each one with 3-7 questions each that took about 15 typed pages to properly complete. The point of the tests were to do your own research. Very easy class!

You have to work hard in this class, but if you are an anthropology major it's a very interesting class. He makes it fun and pretty easy to understand. Read the book if you need to clarify what you learned in class. But overall when you are studying go to the notes first.

He is one of the funniest professors I've had so far! Just a warning - you better be prepared to take GOOD notes. I feel like I'm getting to know him personally lecture by lecture. If you sit in front, he will make an example of you at one point - but don't be scared! He's awesome!!

Forest is a good professor. You DO NOT need to buy the textbook if you take good notes. He is very clear, and you feel as though you get to know him. He cusses a lot and it's halarious. He cares about what he teaches, and it comes across to the students. He can come across creepy but he means no harm.

I LOVE this man! He sometimes gets too personal and it can come off as creepy but once you realize he doesn't mean any harm, you will find he is absolutely hilarious! He has a great sense of humor. He knows his stuff! There is no reason to buy the textbook unless you need it as a security blanket. The tests are tough though! Class is not a joke!

Tierson definately knows his subject inside and out! He really enjoys teaching the material and is a great speaker and teacher. Don't waste money on the book, just go to class and pay attention/take notes. I got an A without really studying, just paying attention in class. I recommend him and would take him again and im not even an anth major!
