Father Nolan is a great Professor. He is very old but does know what he is talking about. Take good notes, reading the book is a waste of time and ask him for help if you need it.

Hands down the worst teacher I've ever had to deal with. Unclear, useless, and uses test questions that are irrelevant to the key points of the famous Philosophers. Never again will I take a class that he has any part of.

Make sure you take good notes and ask questions all the time.Likes to jump from point to point but not as hard as everyone makes him out to be.Try to meet with him during the semester, he gives you more respect if you take the time to talk to him.

Fr. Justin is hard, no question about it. Had the venerable old man for 18 credits, once you master his style you will not only learn, but enjoy his class. Dumb, lazy, or closed-minded people will be obliterated in this class.

Had Fr Justin for an amazingly difficult class, and I could not have asked for a better professor for it. He is a wonderfully sweet man, a little liberal in some of his views but so long as you can keep his opinions from course material, all is great

Although he is certainly the most difficult teacher in the Philosophy department, I found this class to be interesting as well as informative. You will have to work hard, but if you talk with him after class and ask him questions about unclear material,

How am I supposed to understand a circle as the basis for notes while studying? He expects way too much from students during an INTRO class. I had more work for that class than for classes in my major. I entered philo with an open mind, but I hated it

i had Fr. justin for everything he taught, 21 credits, and he has only been a positive, intellegent, and great professor. if you can't cut it in his class, you proabably can't cut in other classes, as you have the problem, not him.

Nice person, but horrible professor. I thought core classes were supposed to be less work and relatively easy to manage! NOT. I will never take another one of his classes again.
