Comment:

Had her for 1502 and 2001 and she was very tough in both of them, although more so in 1502. She is a very nice woman, but does not budge much in terms of grades. Does not teach her classes like they are core, but more like you will be minoring. But she means well and really wants you to take something out of it.

Comment:

Professor Parmeggiani is easily the best Italian teacher I have ever had. She's tough on her students, but that's because she wants you to succeed. She's sweet and friendly, and always willing to work with you. She will make you work for your grade, but there will be no doubts that you've earned whatever letter you get. Really enjoyed her class!

Comment:

Professor Parmeggiani makes you work hard, but it's only because she wants you to succeed. Her classes are taught entirely in Italian, which may seem scary, but is actually really helpful when it comes to helping you develop your skills. Some quizzes and writing assignments, but all graded fairly. She will make sure you improve your skills!

Prof.ssa Parmeggiani is an excellent professor - patient, clear, knowledgable, and she watches out for all students. That being said, she focuses a lot individually on students, and she will always ask for more, which is good. Not a class to take lightly, but certainly one you will learn a lot from. She's also extremely nice and approachable.

Francesca is one of the nicest, sweetest women I've ever met. That being said, she is a very difficult professor. This class is for anyone really wanting to learn Italian, not just pass a class. She's incredibly patient and helpful. It's a lot of hard work, and I hated it for the first three weeks, but I adore her and the class was 100% worth it.

Nice person, always willing to help, but her classes are hard. A lot of reading is required, some interesting and some not. A lot of research is required before the readings as well.She is a tough grader and gives a lot of work, but it improves your italian. So, if you want to learn the language well, take her, but not if you want an easy A.

She is a very nice and engaging professor. HOWEVER, she gives A Lot of homework and requires and asks a lot of you. I worked my ass off this semester and I only received a B- for all my hard work and effort. So if you are used to getting high grades like I am than do not take her. But if you are up for a challenge then go for it!

She also doesnt think about the "grade" she believes it's more important to improve and learn...which is all well and good except everyone sees the GRA

Sweet nice woman, but so hard! I've taken her for 2 semesters, and this semester was the most difficult class I've ever taken. She cut her office hours and if she was there, there was always a long wait bc so many people needed help! Only take her for the higher levels if you really really want a challenge.

Well, if you are not a freshman when you take her class, she will try her best to put you on the spot all the time. She blatantly favors the freshmen over upperclassmen who take her class. I have an italian backround, practically fluent in the language and only taking it as a core requirement but because she didn't like me, i didn't get a high grad

this teacher is the biggerst **** in the world. i was excited to take italian at first but she just made the class soo miserable. she gives a lot of hw and is a harsh grader. her exams are extremely hard and she is very mean. she is hard with grades and has no problem failing students. Very sweet woman. She's kind and very helpful and always available to ask questions. Every class is direct and you know what your learning. But she doesn't mess around with grades, you get what you get and thats it. Great class and fun times singing...i think. Great professor.
