Not as bad of a prof as everyone says. It's a very tough course though. If you go to class and do the assigned homework you'll survive. Final exam was a huge grade dropper. But as a prof she teaches the material well.

Dr. Vinette is a hilarious prof and super nice once you get to know her. see loves to simplify math by putting things in "clouds/flowers" and wants to help her students.midterm was fair but her 5% test and exam were super super challenging. loved having her though. accent was had at first but u adapt. seems scary at first but is very nice at end

Comment:

Dr. Vinette was such a great pro. She was super funny and always used silly analogies to describe math like "clouds" or flowers. Her accent was tricky at first but you get use to it. the midterm was fair but the exam was very very challenging and the 5% test was also too challenging. Overall if you wok hard, you can pass and do semi well:)

Failed the class the first time. Retook it this year and passed. She does read these reviews. Very strict prof, but means well. Her lectures are pretty tough to follow. She often skips steps making it more difficult than necessary. She is super nice 1 on 1 though. Really does want you to succeed! Keep up with homework or you won't stand a chance.

Always shows up to class late, at first its really hard to understand her through her accent and she growls at people during class. She's an absolute nutcase, I highly recommend not taking her class.

She is the worst teacher. She is always late for class. She isn't interactive. She always makes mistakes in examples. She wastes time in class yelling at any student even whispering. She isn't clear, her lectures have no logical flow. She is incredibly inconsistent and forgetful. You have to learn the entire course by yourself.

Occasionally makes mistakes when doing practice problems on the board, is not always clear and can sometimes seem condescending. That being said, she really wants you to do well but you have to show that you are willing to put the work in for that A+. She's more helpful one on one than in lecture. Not as bad as everyone says.

Taking this course for the second time with her. I dropped it the first time around, I found her to be really quick with explanations and made many mistakes during examples. Second time around much better, much easier also taking it in the summer, she is much more laid back during lectures. Also, very helpful if you go for one one one help.

Thick accent. Hard to understand. Made many mistakes in her examples on the board. There were multiple LAN parties in her class while she was attempting to teach (despite her attempts to stop them). Will attempt to fail you if you show that you can do something that she can't (like doing differentiation in your head).

Extremely inconsistent teaching style. She regularly completes 10 minute long examples and then erases it because it's wrong. If a student was late to her lecture she centred them out to the entire class. Did I mention she was late to every single class? She is not an efficient University teacher.

Can't understand her. Makes numerous mistakes in her examples. You learn more from MathXL and the labs. Went into the final with an A+, came out of the exam with a C. She claimed that because she couldn't easily do a certain problem in her head and I hadn't show enough work on that question I must have cheated on the entire exam and gave me a 0.
