He is one of the most brilliant speakers out there. Most of the time I was sitting in class in awe of how smart and articulate he is. Bio majors can satisfy their upper div writing what 100LW but I highly recommend taking his class just to be astounded by his writing and teaching. The papers are pretty straightforward and simple too.

Do not take his philosophy of biology writing class.... unless you like writing 20 page papers and being tortured to death. I wish somebody would have told me about this class. It's boring, its hard, i hate this class.

I don't remember much about his class, but I remember the heavy accent. I have an accent myself, and can usually pick up on what others with accents are saying, but he was an impossible puzzle I never desiphered. Hopefully the extra 8 years that have gone by have helped him with his speech impediment. I think he's highly regarded in the sciences world, hence his research and hefty paychecks.

I did not learn much at all from this class, and he was one of my first professors my freshman year at UCI. Unfortunately, I think you most likely have to take this professor so good luck!

He is a little difficult to understand because of his accent, however once you get past it he is incredibly interesting to listen to. He gave a bio sci talk on mosquitos and is very knowledgable. He seems like an approachable person.

He's kinda hard to understand because of his accent but he's really good at teaching and explaining. His course is very challenging but interesting, I would recommend taking this class before you graduate.
