Long and boring classes. Pretty much death by powerpoint. Really hard to focus in class as the material is pretty dry. That being said, it's a super easy class. He hands out quiz review sheets that almost 100% mimic the real quizzes. Memorize those and show up to class and you'll do fine.

Frank's tests are super easy because he tells you word for word the questions on it. He really doesn't like when people aren't in class. Very clearing grading criteria and you always know what to expect. Pretty bland guy but he's really well respected in the department.

Seems super grumpy, but you've got to get to know him first. He's super passionate about what he does and knows a lot about the industry! He's the guy to talk to for connections in the media world. Just don't have your phone out in his class or you'll be on his bad side!

Some people think he's kind of a grump, and he can be some times & in certain classes, but he can be funny too! He really cares about Media Studies. He gives you all the information you need to pass, and he is very clear. I took all the classes I could with Donaldson! He is awesome.

Donaldson's very knowledgeable and passionate about media studies. He helps the students that actually care about the subject. He doesn't help the ones that come in and go straight to sleep or just play on their phones, and he shouldn't help them. They're lucky they don't get thrown out. Easy class, but if you don't care then don't come.

This class can be really boring but it's incredibly easy. He gives you exact study guides for quizzes and quizzes are almost entirely multiple choice with a couple fill in the blanks (which he tells you beforehand). As long as you don't have more than 2 absenses and you look over the study guides for quizzes it's a piece of cake.

Great class overall, sometimes they run a full 2 hrs but its easy over all. Notes are online, but he does take attendance seriously. I loved the movies he picked too. Funny guy, and I would definitely take him again.

He's pretty easy, taken him three different times and each of his classes were structured the same way. Usually four tests with multiple choice, truefalse, short answer and if you study a decent amount you'll get 100's. The final takes questions from the previous tests so you can just study those and be fine.

He is really boring and he keeps the class pretty dry. He is helpful with the study guide review sheet he gives out. The class is super easy as long as you do the review sheet and watch the movies. Don't fall asleep and use your phone if you are very sneaky and sit in the back.

Very awesome professor. Always willing to help and give advice. Never tries to trick you on exams. Can be strict about attending class, but the classes are long and you have to learn a lot of information, so he's honestly just looking out for you and your grade.

Donaldson is extremely boring, but his quizzes are easy. They are long quizzes but it shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes to complete them. He does like to make everyone memorize a lot of names though, just a warning. You will fall asleep at least once in his class, if not every class.

Frank is boring as I don't know what!! And I honestly don't know why I have to come to class since it's basically online. It's an easy class just really boring. Drink tons of coffee before you come to this class or you will be snoring in no time. Also he doesn't care about the students so don't ask questions.

Donaldson knows his media history however does very little to bring it life. Come to class fully alert or you may have a hard time paying attention as he tends to be monotone. He may be a bit intimidating but he is really very nice and genuinely wants to help. You MUST study for his tests. They are almost entirely based on the study guide *hint*.

I have taken him for several courses now. I have to gotten uses to him. He is monotone but in the last two semesters he has gotten into a habit of showing more videos. He gives you the power points as a starting and may add somethings not on them but most of the test comes from the power points.
