Cannot clearly communicate, espec on what he wants on test. I asked the same question 3 classes in a row because he would go off on tangent or just answer something else entirely. He admits to subjective grading and took diff.pts off for exact same mistake between diff. students (we checked). Complaint was logged with math chairperson.

Don't expect to get an A in this class. He talks to the board, he isn't very helpful at all, and I'm not sure why he is still teaching?

Prof. Grosshans has by far been the worst professor on campus. His grading is not consistent. He never goes over homework and there are no answers to the homework. even if it something simple. He doesn't know what he is talking about. I asked him a question about a problem but he didn't know why he did something he told me its just how you do it.

Terrible. Doesn't teach what's on the test, has ambiguous and trick questions on his tests. I corrected him more than he corrected me; he even got the wrong answer on one of his own test questions. He does not give any leniency in grade, though he does give bonus points in class.

The class should be easy, but makes it impossible to understand. Teaches to the board, never looks at the class, but yells at us to raise our hands when we call out after having it raised for 10 minutes. Turned us away from his office hours. Refuses to go over problems. One question wrong on a quiz is equal to 2% points off your final grade.

Not a fan. Prof Grosshans is incredibly boring, and makes everything more confusing than it needs to be. Also, he never hands things back to you in a timely matter. Takes about two weeks to hand back 5 question quizzes for a class. Which makes it hard to know where your grade is at in the class.

This class is easy, but somehow frank makes it impossible. Just took an open book/note test and it didnt help it all, because he worded every thing in the most confusing way as possible and completely different than the test. Please dont take him...acually your best off avoiding the west chester math department period...Every professor sucks

Decent teacher with good understanding of the material. If you have taken previous calc courses then this class will be a breeze. Only gives four tests the four tests the whole year including the final. Homework is extra credit and tests are all open note. If you have no understanding of calculus, expect a B at most from this class!

DO NOT TAKE HIM. He marks stuff wrong on tests that should be right, has no idea what he's taking about, and doesn't help you.

Going to class is a waste of your time & will only frustrate you. He talks directly to the board, and doesn't know what he's doing half the time. Tests are open note, but on notes he never gave, or notes he changed. He expects you to read his mind. Gives no directions and grades really harshly. I doubt he knows what he's talking about at all.

Confuses himself in class. Often erases things he writes on the board because he was WRONG. Puts things on the test that were exactly from the notes (that he himself wrote on the board) then says that you left something out on the test even though you copied his notes word for word. In a nutshell, he sucks and is probably too old to be teaching.

He tells you how he's going to grade you, and his tests aren't really hard, but he grades hard. He's not clear in his lectures and jumps around a lot. He also doesn't give you time to write your notes, he just moves on. I wouldn't take another class by him and do NOT recommend him to anyone else.

Mr Grosshans is a great teacher. He outlines everything and gives it to you on the first day. All of his treats are open book and open note. The homework is extra credit but is very useful on tests. He is a fair man and I would highly recommend him.

Extremely fair professor. Shows you how he is going to calculate your grade, with nothing hidden in the first class. If you listen in his class you can learn all you need to know for his tests. He is an intelligent man, but also pretty funny too.

I love Frank Grosshans. He makes you think, and is absolutely head-over-heels for math. His speech can be monochromatic at times, but if you listen, you'll learn a lot and have fun doing it! He stretches your brain, but that's why you're at college... right?
