I had Dr Hagan 6 times in undergrad and graduate classes. His lectures are long winded but he involves everyone and the topics are always interesting. He is VERY fair and is always willing to give extra help. For being a nationally known leader in his field, he is easily one of the kindest and down to earth teachers I've ever had.

Comment:

Frank's one of the best professors I've ever had. He can really motive you to learn more about criminology, so that even years after graduation you won't be able to pass a book in a bookstore because you know he once mentioned it, so you simply *have* to read it.

This professor compelled me to change my major. I sold his textbook for $50 and someone out there just wasted $50 cause it is the biggest waste of paper ever written. He's obnoxious, he gets on tangents and taking notes is completely impossible.

Wrote the book and leader in field, so he knows his stuff, yet he makes the class interesting w/ stories and videos. He is not you typical PhD with an attitude and can addmit his mistakes. overall it is a great class that one can learn alot from. deff, worth taking
