Comment:
Professor Nation's Nixon & the Kennedys class was the most thorough history course I've ever taken. Some of the information was entirely useless but if you want to know about Richard Nixon and the Kennedy family this class is definitely for you. Can be very boring. Grade is 2 multiple choice tests (he reads the q's & a's the class before the test).

Frank Nation is a kind elderly man. His lectures can be long, and you will have to get use to it (reads off of his notes). But this man has a wealth of knowledge and he will help you out. Two exams which he goes over on review day. You can tell that he loves history.

Professor Nation gives long droning lectures that put the class to sleep, but if you don't go to class your grade will drop significantly . He knows his stuff but it took almost 2 and a half months to FINALLY discuss the civil war.

Dr. Nation has a ton of knowledge, maybe too much. The class was civil war and reconstruction, but we barely covered the battle of Bull Run before the semester ended. He spent almost 4 weeks breaking down the Nat Turner rebellion. However if you donĂ¢€™t care, and you want an easy A take this class.

LOVE him! Lectures are a bit dry, just because he has so much info to pass on, but he actually knows alot of funny stories and interesting details if you really listen. Only 2 tests and no homework of papers, so almost impossible to fail.

Sometimes his lectures are hard to get through becuase of his teaching style (reading out loud) but he is very very knowledgable!! And if you actually listen, the lectures are really interesting. There is a lot of info convered. So don't go when you are already tired, and actually talk to the guy. He is amazing!!

Wow. I took this class because I wanted to learn about the Civil War. I did not learn anything. All his lectures were read off a piece of paper, and he was extremely boring. However, I did get 100% on both tests. This class is just an easy A.

Nation's lecture style took a bit of getting used to. His tests are typical. This man has an overwhelming amount of knowledge! I couldn't imagine how long it took him to gather all of his information. He is like an encyclopedia on the Civil War. Class mates told me his passion wasn't even in this area. I heard he loves Kennedy/Nixon era.

His classes are very easy to pass. If you can't pass them you should go back to elementary school. Also he loves his subject and will do anything to help you. One of the best professors I've had so far.

Easy professor. Very nice man, but a bit dry. Loves what he does. Also, dito on the previous two comments, you are an idiot if you can't pass his tests. He basically tells what is going to be on them in lectures.
