I went into the class dreading it and before the end of the semester had changed my major to Geology. His lectures remind me of Ben Stein, the prof in Ferris Beuler's Day Off, but he gives it to you straight. There is nothing on the test that was not discussed in class. Take notes, KNOW your terms and definitions and you will do fine!

This man is horrible. Plain and simple. He takes joy in making people look stupid and loves to hear himself talk. He'll just stand up there and ramble on about stuff that doesn't have anything to do with what's on the test. His tests are hard, too. Avoid at all costs.

He is very boring! I would never recommend him to anyone! the lab is not that bad if he does not teach it! I had a different teacher. The lecture part is very hard to understand even if you only miss a few classes. He does not take attendance but his test are the devil. you will have a new hate for rocks after this class..good luck youll need it

This man knows his rocks. Lectures are very clear, material might be hard to grasp, but the information is handed out and seen again on the tests. Take notes, pay attention, go to class. He also has a good sense of humor to offset the boring material!

Sense of humor dry as dust, funny lectures and mannerisms but tests are in depth... Also tends to expect a little much of students... study notes and book and be sure to do a bang up job on your project. Good cook, and loves dogs... I graduated '96 and still fondly remember his doggie Maggie!

Never seems to say much in class, but all kinds of stuff shows up on tests. Questions are very broad and sometimes vague. Wants a 75 avg. and will make SURE ppl suck so that he can achieve it. Probably better off just reading the book, which costs a ton.
