Comment:
Mr. Krager is a fine conductor, artistic yet clear in his gestures. He is professional and well prepared, he always knows the pieces he conducts in and out, and does not make mistakes. He could have higher standards with this ensemble, but there's only so much he can do when the age, dedication, and playing level is so varied among students.

Franz Krager is the greatest conductor and orchestra director in the world. He's so talented, and he only wants to make the world happy. Although not everyone likes him, you have to get to know him before you judge him. Great stories, great teaching, great man.

Played in his ensemble for four years. Low-tier conductor. Poor repertoire choices, programming of Fortmann commission particularly unpleasant. Doesn't conduct at the professional level and intimidated by colleagues. Very strange person.

One of the fakest people I know. If he actually put people who deserved to be principal in the principal positions, the orchestra would be 100% better. Instead, he gets the incompetent grad students to play principal because he thinks it "looks better". What a hack. Give the undergraduates who can play a chance.

Tries to please everyone, even picks his seating assignments based on threats by applied faculty. Aside from 5 people, this orchestra is mostly band flunkies that wish they could play and hopeless string players. Horrible orchestra ran by defunct conductor.

A waste of time and an insult to many. No rehearsing, only playing repeatedly. To much time spent fixing bowings and not pitch, cleanliness, dynamics or other needed items. Also, breathes way too loud (esp when caught on live recordings). Take books, magazines, or ANYTHING to do during this 6 hour class.

I think Krager is a wonderful asset to the Moores School. I'm honored to be under his direction and have learned much from my time being there. Those that disagree are probably too into themselves to realize that. I respect him greatly and know that the orchestra there will flourish under him.

A complete fake. Can barely read music and can't communicate with string players in the least. Another drummer turned conductor. The orchestra is a huge waste of opportunity, time, and talent. There are no conductors at this school. None. A true pity.

I really enjoy playing in his orchestra. The only thing I'd like to see different is Mr. Krager simply being harder on us; sometimes I think he sets the bar too low.

What a charlatan. He were actually listening to what he is standing in front of, he would run away in shame.
