Before this class I had never played the guitar, now I have general knowledge and a good understanding of it. Professor Benedetti's teaching is good, and the tests he gives are set up to make you succeed and play better. He is always a delight - and I do mean always. He made every class enjoyable, and often quite fun. Great professor - take him!

He was amazing the first class i took with him but as soon as i moved on to classical 2 i stopped going. The class became more doing the same exercises and then conversing with the students than actually learning songs and chords. He's incredibly nice and makes learning very easy he just didnt teach as much once you stop being a beginner.

Fred is amazing. Taken three of his guitar classes and am taking MT2 with him this Spring. Patience, giving of his time, so knowledgeable, he will set you up with everything you need to know to succeed in the class (no matter which one you take with him!) and you will be well prepared for future classes as well. Such an amazing teacher!

First time in the Guitar Ensemble. Fred made me and the other two new students feel right at ease. The material's tough and you need to be able to read music. Attending practices is essential and practicing on your own is crucial. Fred will help you figure out parts and is right there for when you need help. I highly recommend this for experience.

Both an amazing teacher and musician. He keeps both the beginners and advanced students engaged while keeping the class fun. I've learned more about music theory in this one class than I have with four other guitar teachers over 15 years! If your serious about playing guitar and learning music there is no better teacher - hands down!

If you do not like his class at least moderately, you probably either have the personality of a brick wall, or a parasite munching on your central nervous system. Benedetti is the boss

Fred is an excellent teacher. His passion, enthusiasm, musical knowledge and depth of experience is remarkable. He is very thoughtful towards the students; he embodies warmth, caring and joy. He is spread thin by too many students per class and some other teaching responsibilities. My only frustration is he did not arrive to class on time.

Great teacher. Amazing guitar player. I think the class was too easy. He could have done much more and pushed the class harder. The class is more directed towards people who are not planning on becoming musicians. I think the class should be more challenging. He was very effective at inspiring me to play guitar.
