You will read and write a lot. You will have 100's of pages to read/week and most people write about 20-40 doubled spaced pages for one test alone. That said, Dr. Strange is a genius and you will learn SO much. He's semi-retired so take his classes while you can, they're amazing. Don't skip class: most of his test questions are covered in lecture.

I took his behavioral science class. It undeniably was one of the hardest classes I I have taken, but it was worth it. You will write a lot , but it's interesting material. I wouldn't personally suggest trying to couple this class with other hard classes if you can avoid it. Overall though he's a great professor and I'm grateful for what I learned.

Strange is very unorganized and easily distracted and wastes time talking off topic about his political opinions. he assigned a ton of reading for a 100 level class and assigned a paper with only a day and a half to complete it.

This teacher seems very disorganized. He used 3 textbooks along with lengthy canvas readings and lengthy handouts. The assignments are very long so break them up over each day to avoid headaches. Lectures were long and didn't have much class discussion involved.

I took the 1x wk class. He lectured for 3.5hrs then we answered reading questions the last bit. This is attendance! One assignment a week which averaged 10-15 questions based on numerous handouts which ended up to 30+ pages typed. If you pay attention and do the readings, this is an easy A. He offers a lot of EC within the assignments.

He is incredibly astute and knows what he's talking about. His assignments are only hard if you don't care about society or the world. College is meant to allow the opportunity for you to explore yourself and learn about the world. He will steer you in the right direction if you have an open mind.

Strange is a really interesting person. He is a bit all over the place but has a really interesting point of view. His assignments are easy, you don't have to study TOO hard for the tests, and the paper, although mildly long, is graded fairly. I would recommend this class.

If you want to pass CSBS 310, don't take this class. I wrote a midterm that was 52 pages, that's as long as two of the textbooks we used, and he lost it. He is spacey, scatterbrained, and extremely hard to follow. If you think about 20 things at once you will pass, otherwise just drop now. I won't take a class from him again, and this is my major.

Extremely boring. Ramble ramble ramble blah blah blah... all amounts to nothing and confusion. You will leave wondering what the heck you just sat through for 2 long hours and yes he takes it all the way to the final minute every time. Would not recommend.

I'm going to keep it short and simple. Yes, this is a hard class, especially for only being a 101 class, and yes, you're expected to do a LOT of work. However, Dr. Strange is one of the best lecturers I've met during my time at EWU. Listen and ask questions. Even if he's wrong sometimes, it's intriguing enough to hear his point of view.

Old-school instructor. Gives lots of handouts and readings with little you're actually required to do in order to pass with a 3.5 or above, all assignments are take home. Gets repetitive, but stays informative.

Literally the worst class I have taken in the past four years at EWU. I am a criminal justice major which requires this class. Nothing he teaches applies to any other majors besides anthropology. Terrible teaching and the assignments are the biggest waste of time. AVOIDE AT ALL COSTS! He seriously ruined my quarter!

Dr. Strange is my favorite professor at Eastern. His class isn't too difficult, just time consuming. I enjoy his lectures. He will answer any question, and is open to different opinions. All the tests are take home, however they will be 20-50 pages long double spaced, with usually two weeks to complete them. Willing to help if you ask.

At first a bit confusing but then it all comes together nicely. Midterm and Final are very time consuming but I learned a lot and am very happy I took this class by him. Your grade will reflect how much you put into it. If you want a good grade, then work for it and you will get rewarded. A 4.0 is absolutely attainable.

Say what you want, but the man is a genius. His lectures go in a round about manner that all lead back to a central point. His mid term and final actually make you complete all of the readings he gives you through the quarter and I am grateful for that. I have never learned so much from a professor in one quarter! Very nice guy as well!

He is very hard to follow, it takes a long time for him to make a valid point, he rambles incoherently, gets flustered when asked questions, and he has no structure AT ALL in his class. The assignments are easy, but VERY time consuming. His grading scale is relative to the performance of students. Avoid this class

Bad professor who either randomly assigns large projects or forgets to tell you that he is doing so. Furthermore this "thought-provoking" class doesn't go beyond the basics of social sciences. He rambles, doesn't finish topics, and occasionally will forget to discuss critical points until after the assignment is handed in.

Horrible, He is confusing and never makes any points. He is caught up in his own head and has no structure to his class. The mid-term is 25 pages of extremely time consuming questions.

I an an honors student who takes all of my classes very seriously. This class is extremely confusing, and I wish I was taking it with a different teacher. He has lots of valuable info, but does not know how to properly engage the class. I never know what he is talking about.

Cool teacher. He is interesting and so are the class discussions. Lots and lots of writing, but I listened to the lectures and didn't procrastinate, so I got an A. Do Not wait til the last minute to do the course work. Take time every day to do a little and it will be easy. Highly Recommended.
