Comment:
Learning and mastering the content in Dr. Tannery's class is next to impossible. He often makes errors in the equations, examples, & in the homework he assigns. When questioned about his mistakes he only gets more confused. It's very difficult to learn in a class where the professor doesn't seem to have a grasp of the material. Would not recommend

Lectures using confusing class discussions and examples, and fails to answer the easiest student questions. People do not participate due to the difficulty of understanding the content provided, and lack cognitive understanding due to the homework relying purely on book-learned material. Would not take again if he was the only professor on campus.

homework due at least once a week, it's relatively easy, at least two papers ,you'll have to type up an outlines of what you read and you will have quizzes and tests that are exactly like the homework and he goes over in a little bit before the exam. He makes a lot of mistakes during class, but corrects them,he is a little confusing. Very doable

Took his very first online class. I went to his office to ask him to change an incorrect grade & he asked ME how to do it. Other classmates emailed me about understanding material because when you email him, he tells you to email your classmates. Very unhelpful. Class consists of PowerPoints, Connect, & videos of him working out problems.

terrible professor. when you go to his office hours for help he is unclear, if you e mail him questions he wont respond or insists you "ask the class" instead of answering it himself. cant follow the syllabus and the syllabus is unclear to begin with. is down right rude. not only should you avoid taking him, he should avoid teaching, period.

Dr. Tannery is a very nice man and tried to learn everyone's name, but he is very confusing and hard to hear. I would not buy the book, but you do need the access code. If you go over the power points and scattered notes, his class is easy to pass. He curves every test and gives bonus assignments. Taking his class is not the end of the world.

The required paperback cost $150, and you must buy it in order to do the homework and quizzes on line. Some of the homework is easy (you are told if you are correct and can change your answers), but some of the homework problems are impossible to solve no matter how long and hard you try. It was never obvious why the course content was important.

This is by far the worst professor in higher education in the United States. This guy has no idea what he is talking about. Doesn't know the course material and is very unprepared to answer any question about anything. Avoid this man by any means necessary. I did not learn one thing in his class. I am dumber and more unprepared for life now.

Professor Tannery is extremely confusing. He says one thing and changes his mind in front of the class often. When you ask to have something explained, you end up even more confused! If you aren't willing to teach yourself and study extensively, I would not suggest him. He is a nice guy, but he can not teach!!

Dr. Tannery isn't as bad as everyone says. Yes, he is very scatter brained and boring, but he is a very nice man who is always willing to help you. He gives a lot of bonus points, especially for excellent attendance. Do the work, study, and you should be fine.

AVOID AT ALL COST. Professor Tannery is the worst at explaining Microeconomics, at best he is an expert PowerPoint reader. He is such a nice guy but he should still be teaching. You basically have to teach yourself he just reads from his PowerPoints everyday.

He is not a good professor, I would never take him again. He has a way of teaching that just sucks! Very unclear, the tests are hard but if you need hep he willing. He is a very nice man, but not a good professor at all if you ask me.

I recommend taking him over the summer/winter sessions. Class is an easy A. I didn't need to study anything. He gave out at least 10 EASY extra credit opportunities.

The guy needs to retire now. Tried teaching healthcare economics and it was a train wreck. He needs to stick to economics or just retire. He doesn't know how to use a computer, his instructions are so confusing. So disappointed with the class.

Good Teacher but isn't always the clearest. He does allow you to take a full sized sheet of paper to each test, basically a good cheat sheet. He is not an easy A but if you go to class, make a good sheet and do the homework you will get an A or B. It's college people, it isn't supposed to be all easy A's

I've taken Econ201, Econ202, and Econ219 with this professor so far. Heres some tips for his class. Show up to class and do the work and you will get a good grade. If you ever need help. Go to his office hours. Don't expect a easy A because you have to put in the effort to get a good grade.
