It's an inkblot test. He's easy bcuz how demanding is multiple guess with Kodak CDroms for lectures? But is this worth $750 plus the $500 in lab fees? He's disorganized about film assignments i.e. hurry up to turn in and wait a long time for the processed film. And can u take his critique seriously? Come on... u'll know what I'm talkin about.

These haters are too stupid to make movies anyway. I like that he tries to weed out all the tools before the class starts. At least he doesn't blow smoke up your ass like most do. I found the class easy in that I enjoyed everything I did, but I can see how if you are not into working hard to make a film, he would be hard. watkins tells it like it is! love it or leave it.doesn't sugar-coat the industry and how we're all gonna be rich and famous and make lots of money and ****.face it,most of our work is gonna suck! if you've just got stars in your eyes, his classes are not for you.but learn what you can and go for it!

Definitely a mixed bag. One one hand: he's good about giving students practical experience; throws you in and lets you swim; great if you're up for it. Friendly and laid-back. On the other hand: he's a pretty terrible filmmaker himself and can be a bit of a lech. What's with that fake hair piece

Fred talks alot, he also gives you the opportunity to sink or swim depending on how motivated you are to give your all in making cinema art. Lazy and stupid people should avoid this class as there is no hand holding from the instructor. Models real film.
