I am a straight A student and I got a C in this class. Class was basically him asking if we had questions and then him talking about himself. Otherwise I had to teach myself everything. So confusing!!

I took Wynn for PSY219 - Developmental Psychology & Lifespan. There's no accountability on his part: emails & voicemails go unanswered, he doesn't provide info about test formats in advance (unlike what it says on the syllabus), & he doesn't not cover material in lecture he assigned for homework. More interested in pontificating than teaching.

Okay he's REALLY really funny, and he worked in law enforcement(my anticipated line of work) so he had some great stories, but literally 0% of what he talked about in class (what he ad us take notes on) had ANYTHING to do with the tests or the final (which was impossible btw) be prepared for confusion and failure

He does not teach any of the actual course material. A majority of class is focused on current events. He does 3 take home tests which weren't terrible. The final was impossible to pass. Half of the test was on material that was never mentioned once and some questions that weren't even topics in the text. I went from an A average to a B with final

Great teacher, very understanding. Got a B in his class. Did well on all the take home tests and final exam. As long as you participate and pay attention you'll be fine. Not sure why there is so much negative. No hw besides finding current event if you want. Gives great outline for final & goes over everything on it.

Good luck passing. He just lectures you every class, and he doesn't look at the book once. Also, get ready to learn about his life, he talks about it a lot. The tests maybe take home, but I used my book and found word for word answers on questions and STILL got them wrong. The final will be impossible to pass and you will end up teaching yourself

I have never been more stressed about a class in my life. This prof does not give you the tools you need to succeed. You might as well teach yourself psych because he just cannot do it. He gives you multiple outlines and lectures them in class, he doesn't get through half of the outlines. Good luck. He only talks about himself. Worst class & prof

I took Psy101 with prof wynn and got a B with out even trying. I never picked up the book and got Bs on all my tests. All his tests are take home so you have enough days to do them. They are all multiple choice and no papers to write in this class ! Deff recommend him.

As a freshman at school, professor Wynn is is not what I expected. You will behind in his class, and prepare for 100 question test. Tests have nothing to do with the notes taken in class. Lecture is WAY too heavy and long. Puts you on the spot in front of the class very often and has limited outside-of-class availability. Do not take this professor

He's a great guy and will tel many funny stories because he doesnt teach anything. He gives take home tests that have nothing to do with the course. He literally talks about current events the whole class period and then talks about random theories and then ends the class.

Engaging and knowledgeable professor. Chose an excellent textbook with current research citations. This is how I remember college courses: read the text book, learn the material and then come to class to ask questions. Not being spoon-fed was very refreshing and I recommend the course. It was an excellent overview of the lifespan development.

Wynns view on life is outdated. This year is election year and he has taken multiple classes to push his political views on us; for example, how abortion should be illegal. The majority of the class is spent discussing unrelated subjects. 15 minutes is left for coursework. He said everyone gets an average C when taking him. Not a good prof

Most difficult class I've taken by far and it shouldn't have been. Took the same class in high school and passed easily. He does not go over anything you will actually need for the take home texts/final and talks mainly about his family and previous job. Would not suggest at all.

He is a nice guy. But for a professor, no i am sorry but noooo. He does not teach at all. You teach yourself. There's two take home tests, than one final in class. The two take home tests are easy cause you have your book and the internet. But the final is nothing that he taught us. I studied and still did poor.

Took two courses with Prof Wynn. Definitely a cool guy and enjoyed his courses, but not the greatest professor. His stories are great and he helps you think outside the box, but you're kind of on your own in regards to teaching the details. Meeting him for help outside of class wasn't particularly helpful, either. Great guy, decent courses.

Wynn's lectures had absolutely nothing to do with the class. We just talked about current events during every class. All the tests are take home and the questions are from quizzlet. I used all quizzlet's answers and still didn't get 100. For the final, he gave a review sheet that had little to do with the material that was on the final.

I enjoyed coming to his class and listening to his lectures. He relates the lectures to current events and stories that make it helpful to understand. He gives two tests and the answers are all online. The only issue I had is that he doesn't go over the criteria that much and you basically have to teach yourself the material.

Professor Wynn is a cool guy. He mainly tells funny stories of his days as a drug cop. Most of the reading is own your own. Not much is talked about in class. Final is 50% of your grade. 2 other tests, take homes, answers are online. He's a really cool guy, but if you're looking to learn in depth, he's probably not for you.

Most favorite prof! Interesting, funny, personable but still very professional and respectable. Teaches using stories from his own life, which is colorful and fascinating, makes the class highly compelling. Willing to explain things every which way until you understand it, even draws pictures to help. I wish everyone could take a class with him.
