Honestly he was the hardest chemisty I've had in my life. You had to take what he learned in class and apply it on a higher level. I did not get anything above a C on his 5 problem tests. I studed for two days straight for his final and only got a B. On a higher note he's really funny and will spent the time with you to work on the problems.

Dr. Sauls is notoriously one of the hardest chem professors, but I loved his class. We had no quizzes and very little outside work. I would go to him an hour before every exam and review with him in his office. He is so nice and helpful and I was able to understand him perfectly.

His class is so ridiculously hard. Dr. Sauls has a really happy go lucky kind of teaching style which really made me underestimate his class. He goes over problems in class, but the simplest ones ever and assigns similarly simple problems for homework His tests consist of 5 problems maximum, all of which are the absolute hardest problems imaginable

I abs. loved his class. He is very nice and very helpful inside and outside of the classroom. He is always willing to help. Wish I was able to take him second semester, but he wasn't teaching the class. Overall he made me think outside of the box. Def. take him if you have the chance.
