I do not recommend taking him. He is rude to many of his female students and could care less about everyone else. Is not reasonable with people, would not accept my work when canvas wouldn't let me turn it in. My emails were never answered and overall was a terrible teacher.

found the class hard to follow and not clear organization of the material and work assigned . this teacher will not accept anything after a due date and does not offer extra credit so if you mess up and miss a date, there are many, you are pretty much in trouble.

Not only was he extremely rude to other students but he didn't seem to care about anything but his trips to Europe and how many countries he can go to within a year. He's a terrible grader and everything anyone does is wrong. Every single time I tried to ask for help he basically treated like I was stupid. Emails were almost never answered.

If you must take this professor, take him online, if you're able. I'm rating him during the eleventh week of the semester, and while I am earning an A so far, he's useless. He does not give clear instructions, it takes him ages to grade assignments, and he expects students at the community college level to know university level aspects of writing.

Very boring class, he talks the entire period. As someone else stated, he does not know how to communicate with his students. I skipped class more than a few times but still passed, but attendance is worth a lot of points.

Gabe Decio is the WORST professor I have had so far at MCC. He's absolutely fantastic at wasting time. He grades like a ten year old and goes on rants every period.

He is a really nice and intelligent guy, but he just does not know how to communicate with his students. I am lucky that I am good at English or else I would have been screwed. 2 of my friends were in the same class as me and failed.. He has not time for slackers at expects nothing but the best of you. I only recommend him if you are good with ENG.

He's a very bad teacher and he's very rude. He's old fashioned and you can never write a paper on what you actually want to write about, he picks your topic or if we actually get to choose a topic, he has to approve of it. He only approves topics that he agrees with.

One of the worst teachers I've ever had. He calls people out and is very hypocritical. His way of grading is very harsh and his class overall isn't engaging. It's annoying that he picks our topics for us when other classes don't, there's barely any room to express our knowledge just what he wants

Worst teacher I have ever had. He rarely gives a straight answer when you ask him a question. He taught as if everyone learned the same as him. I would not recommend him as a teacher. I felt like I learned nothing while in this course, yet it was still challenging because he made work more difficult then it needed to be.

I have taken two courses with this instructor, the Shakespeare class being the first. I would have benefited from a course in Greek/Roman Mythology which Dr. Decio uses primarily to interpret the text. Participation ranks high in his classroom, if you are not prepared to contribute than don't take this class. I enjoyed it, got an A.

I was really looking forward to this class because I love Shakespeare's work. However, because of the teacher I am so upset with my experience. He did not listen to me or how I felt. When I went to get help I felt like I was being bullied. I would not take another class with him again...

worst teacher I've had learning here at MCC. I took this class online because it was just reading and quizzes. He has no care for his students and won't answer your e-mails in timely fashion and by any chance he does e-mail you back its NOT HELPFUL AT ALL!!! It's almost like you're all alone. If I had more space to write I would be saying MUCH MORE

This is a class that you might as well take online. He gives quizzes every day and not much goes on in class; most of it was spent in group discussion, the rest with him talking about his trips to Europe. The instructions for the presentation were really vague, but his expectations are specific. He is also really bad about responding to emails.

English was never a forte in abilities. Especially a complicated composer as Shakespeare. However, i walked in the class with an open mind and learned a lot. There was a collection of quizzes over the plays that we read (6 total and we examined 16 sonnets. He is very helpful if you ask for it and is very passionate about the subject--always helps.

As long as you live up to your responsibilities, You will have no problems with Decio. His availability is great, and you can see his determination to help you understand the material as much as possible. as long as you reach out when you need help, you should have no problems with this blended course.

His classroom class is nothing like a typical classroom class. It has the same structure as a online class. We read the chapter then we take a online quiz. And then in class we take another in class. He deducts points 20 extra points if you guess or get the answer wrong. If you get a zero he will deduct points from quizzes already recorded in the grade-book. He doesn't give any kind of notes or lectures. He has other students teach every day and he always give us an audio lecture.
