I loved having Nord for Stats. Although the homework isn't required, I did it anyways and I attribute much of my success to that. She teaches at a fairly slow pace, leaving room for questions. Her tests are based on everything taught in class, and if you do the reviews, you'll do well on them. Gail is a quirky and funny woman, and I'll miss her!!

She is a really funny, odd person which makes her lectures kinda scattered but I never had too big of a problem following along. She goes on funny tangents and dressed up for Halloween. Her tests were pretty easy if you do all the homework assignments (they're optional but helpful).

Oh Gail.... her classes are very scattered, and her lectures do not always make sense.. her homework is optional (never done it) but her tests do not always follow her lectures. Go into office hours because she's super helpful there. She is an odd lady but she's super sweet and respectful of her students.

Homework optional but definitely helps with tests and quizzes. When she goes over a proof in class, pay attention because it will be on a test or quiz most likely. She talks softly sometimes which can make you sleepy, so be prepared.

She is a little weird and quirky but does a decent Job explaining concepts. She will go off on some story about her life and you will have close to no idea what she is saying or trying to get across. It's actually quite hilarious. Optional homework, short quizzes which are sometimes take home. 3 tests and final which get curved.

She's a very smart professor, but she spaces out several times every class. It was an easy class for me since I took Pre-Calc and Calculus in high school, but for those that hadn't she did not explain it well and was incredibly difficult to follow. It's very difficult to take notes in her class because she skips around so much.

Pretty confusing, but if you ask for help, she's there. 3 tests, 1 final (final is curved based on your own previous test scores & the class average). No required homework, all optional. Fair amount of easy 10 point quizzes, lowest 1-2 scores dropped. Went in for office hours after tests and she went over what I got wrong and wrote down corrections

Gail Nord is a very respectable instructor. She takes time to give examples for all topics we go over in class. She is a tough grader, but if you work hard, you have nothing to worry about.

She sometimes talks quiet so it is helpful to sit towards the front. Her lectures are very helpful and there is no homework. I studied for tests just from my lecture notes and did great, not too difficult if you pay attention!

My first math professor for business calc, and she was meh. I understood everything because I took calc before, but if you hadn't I could see how it would be difficult. Pretty boring in class but pay attention because it's important. Wouldn't really recommend, but she's not the worst

Easy tests. I got 2 100%, 1 98%, and 1 94%. Homework isn't graded and there are a couple take home quizzes. Moved to slow for me at times, but it made it easy to keep up if I had to miss. Easy professor with good knowledge on subject

Thoroughly explains the material and does not allow a calculator so all the problems are pretty simple. Always open for questions and there to help.

Very boring, but she's much easier than the other professors. If you want calculus to be a challenge, I would highly not recommend her.

She is good at what she does. Her tests are not that hard if you are attentive during her lecture and if you practice some before the test. Would love to take her again.

I personally enjoyed Nord. She taught almost solely by using examples which I prefer. Her tests are pretty reasonable. Homework was not mandatory.

She teaches the material mostly by giving a lot of examples of the topic. However, she doesn't necessarily elaborate on the theories and strategies behind it -- it's mostly just examples. If you've taken calc before, you will find Nord's class pretty easy (and boring) like I did -- otherwise, you might want to get someone different.

Nord is a great teacher. Definitely a little strange but that can be expected for Calc. In class we go over examples that progress in difficulty. She doesn't use the text and the examples are usually what is on the test. Great teacher, made CALC II easier for me.

LOVE HER!!!! Although the class is not the most exciting, Prof. Nord has a way of explaining concepts with examples in a clear manner. She is ALWAYS willing to help especially if you go into office hours. Test and quizzes aren't too hard. Make sure and study what is on the review!
