He is a little hard to understand, but definitely knows his material, highly encourages questions, and will help you outside of class. He is respectful to students and is very straightforward in his delivery. His tests are hard but that speaks more to the class. I would take him again. Put in the effort and you will do well.

Not a bad teacher, but not that great either. There were several times where we had to ask for additional homework problems to practice because he was teaching stuff that wasn't in the book. Most of his test questions were very simple, but occasionally there would be a question different than what was in the homework/lectures. Better than Dr. Li

If feng spent less time telling the class 'this is not hard' and more time actually teaching, students would be much better off. Beyond that and the inconsistent grading, he is actually a pretty good instructor. Oh, and stop laughing at your students. It's rude and accomplishes nothing.

Feng is able to make the easiest class a hard one with his teaching style. He makes you feel like a fool if you do a problem wrong screaming "NO! NO! YOU DOING IT ALL WRONG!" He flies over some material and spends time on other stuff but he throws test questions on the material he flew over. Weekly mandatory homework and tough tests. Kou's better

It's hard to understand him. Arfa = Alpha, ergen = again, ankasdhapn = analytical, he says okay after every sentance, and coughs alot, if he tries to laugh and talk dont even try to translate what he is saying, squeered = squared, if you can understand him he teaches the subject well.

At first it was hard to understand him, but after a week or two I got use to his accent. Very smart, Feng knows what he is talking about. Some poeple in my class complained about the test problems, but they were always easier than the homework problems.

He wasn't very clear due to accent issues. Made you feel stupid when made a mistake. He once asked a friend of mine, "Do you know how to do math?" when he made a stupid mistake. Not very helpful when asked a question and gets mad when you don't understand.

once you get past the accent, isnt too bad..2 major presentations..some ppl cant understand him..uses r's instead of ch's in speaking..some assignments, if you do the assignments and do good on the presentations you should do fine

ok folks, lets us get started. (you'll hear this daily at the start of class). once you get the hang of understanding him talk, it's not that bad of a class as long as you do the homework and follow what's going on in class. there aren't that many tests, and he'll give makeup points on them if everyone does bad. FYI - "denumerator" = demominator.

Great prof for digital classes. Really knows his stuff and gives clear, organized lectures. Accent is very understandable. Tests are open notes and not too hard. Labs are manageable. A very informative course and an easy A.

The man needs to learn english! He came over from China when he was 18 and still hasn't learned the language. Because of this, he isn't clear in lectures or lab. I wouldn't take him again if he was the only person teaching a course I needed.

Can barely speak english! Office visits useless since he cannot convey ideas clearly and coherently. Answers most questions with "What don't you understand?" and then restates the same garbled explanation. AVOID!
