Paul was an amazing professor, but not an easy Professor. I found the coursework profoundly interesting and did well, but it was a lot of reading. His lectures are amazing. Some don't like him because he doesn't dumb down the material - you will be expected to learn and make connections, it will not be an easy A.

Terrible experience. Being a part of his class almost makes you feel as though he wants you to do poorly by pointing out your mistakes (to prove his own knowledge) and failing to help you out, EVEN WHEN YOU SEE HIM FOR HELP. Awful experience, I recommend that you do everything possible to avoid any class with him. He is beyond unreasonable.

Paul is a great guy if you get to know him. He wants for you to learn the material. His lectures started out great but bored me by the end of the semester. I would recommend him, but don't expect the class to be as interesting as it sounds.He does challenge you with the reading material he assigns. He grades papers fairly and w/o much difficulty.

The class is mandatory for majors. Don't be quiet, he likes conversation in class. He likes to hear your opinions, but when push comes to shove and you're looking for an A, it's best to agree with him and give him what he's looking for. He responds well to ambition and people who legit try in his class, doesn't tolerate laziness or slacking by.

One of the blandest people I have ever met. I have never fallen asleep in class my whole life... until now, where I fall asleep at least three times per lecture period. He never knows exactly what he's talking about, but he does have a vague knowledge on the material. TESTS ARE SUPER EASY!!! I can't say you'll take much away from the class, though.

Ugh, hated the class. Only mandatory to turn in assignments. Very unclear about things, laughs when he doesn't know the answer and doesn't bother to explain later either. Had weird stories, half of the time waited for students to ask questions and left things incomplete, atleast in my perspective. I HIGHLY DON'T RECOMMEND him.

Not a terribly difficult class, mostly he just wants you to try to understand the texts, then use them to prompt class discussion. minimal teaching, b/c it's a discussion class, but he'll answer questions if you have them. Make sure to do the class reading and come with some questions/ideas and you are golden. Speaking up is key.

He is dreadfully boring and does nothing to stimulate class discussion. For his lecture he reads quotes off a piece of paper that he probably puts together 5 minutes before class. Ask him to clarify and he will just repeat the same thing over and over.
