Comment:

Professor Kutina has an excellent sense of humor and that makes the class more fun. Although the labs were quite difficult to understand, he does the best he can to help you answer the questions. He suggested to break down the exams so it could be easier to understand the material. As long as you try doing your assignments, you will be fine.

By far the most work ive ever done for a class. He was not clear. He graded so tough and wants way more than what we can give. Seriously stay away from this class and him. The work is never ending. The final and quizzes are impossible. If you want a nice grade don't take his class.

The subject matter is difficult, but Professor Kutina enthusiasm is contagious. Topics I could not grasp in the textbook were crystal clear after the lecture. As long as you participate and make an effort you will learn a lot and have a pretty laid back class!

Good teacher, but definitely covers a lot of stuff that sometimes seems rather unimportant to what the class is actually about. Tests are difficult, and sometimes cover things you may not have learned. A fun guy, but can be abrasive at times. If you want to learn something interesting, take one of his classes.

great teacher, willing to help if you dont understand something. very passionate about what he is teaching whether its astronomy or meteorology, he loves both. Awesome teacher! recommend you take a class or two with him! :)

Online class, weekly quiz format, plus weakly homework due. I really enjoyed the class even though it was online. Gary is smart and if you get the chance to take one of his classes i would. im taking another one. I suggest you have an intrests in AST, you dont need to but your will enjoy it much more if you do

This was a very hard course with a lot of homeworks, projects and exams and quizes. There is a lot of work involved from labs to out of class projects. A lot of the work is confusing, and although he does help you, it can be too much. I personally would not take another class with him because of the work overload and how boring it can be.

I took his class online. We had to go in a few times. One big project that was interesting. Doing this class online was the way to go. I have no interest in astronomy at all and I did fine. Highly reccommened

his class is very hard. the tutor doesn't understand his assignments. he likes to keep you working your hardest by pretending to be a jerk. In the end if you have given it your all he will pass you. but only if you have really tryed! i would avoid his class at all costs.

I took Kutina for a telecourse and it was a lot of work. I got an A, but if you aren't interested in astronomy and don't like to learn this isn't the class for you I absolutely enjoyed it and Kutina was very helpful with whatever questions I had. (Highly recommended)

He says he is not trying to trick you but there are questions no one has ever heard of. very nice, but very hard and boring. You will fall asleep! there are labs, quizzes, and test every week.

Mr. Kutina is a great person, he was always there to help (all you have to do is ask!)and very open to answer questions. The class itself is not a "blow off" class, if you want an A, you have to work for it. But its all worth it, Mr. Kutina is a great guy!!

Very good teacher, he is very interested in astronomy, but be careful, because there is alot of homework and you need to schedule your life around astronomy.
