Lord has been teaching at NU for years and almost always has full classes. He's an excellent teacher who knows his topic as if he was actually there to witness it (we joking say he might have given his age). Sometimes his class can feel endless as he lectures the whole time but if you zone out you might miss some high quality jokes.

Gary Lord is one of if not my favorite professor at Norwich University, very odd very dry sense of humor. Only negatives are that he likes to talk for the entire class period, so if you like to debate with your professors do not take his classes. And for his tests if you do not write word for word "This is significant because" you won't do well

During my time as a Cadet I applied the nickname "Yoda" to Dr. Lord. Even after graduating, I still feel this is an appropriate label. Wildy smart, humerous in a dry manner, and committed to the principles of strong education, every Cadet at Norwich can benefit from his knowledge. He will provide you with the wisdon and perspective needed.

Tried to keep me out of class when I showed up 1/2 hour late by wedging a desk against the door. Rediculously dry sense of humor, almost pathetic sometimes. Relate everything to Alden Partridge and you'll do great. Very knowledgeable, teaches from his own notes and curriculum.
