One of the best accounting professors at CSUN. Extremely good at teaching complicated material. 2 midterms, 1 final, research problems, and group tax returns. Tests are hard. Overall, I highly recommend this professor.

I'll be honest he is an great professor. He knows how to teach and does a very good job at it. He is very clear when he explains his power points which are not made by him. While he is an great professor the subject is just way too hard. You really have to study to pass the class. Accounting isn't a mess around class and receive an A. Read the book

Professor Stout is an excellent accounting professor. Although his. Test are not the easiest in the world, he really does a good job to teach the material and to make sure you understand it. The book is a must in his class since homework is out of the book. He takes role so make sure you attend. Got a B in his class, must take for ACCT 230,

One of the best professors in CSUN! Make the class really interesting and funny.His lecture is helpful. Students are required to bring a joke to class!lol!anyway!it's true that the TEST are difficult though I got an A.Still highly recommend if you want to learn something and enjoy class!

Great teacher. I love accounting and although it was a very difficult class I am expecting to get an A because of how well professor Stout has prepared me. He goes over the homework problem by problem and never assigns more homework than necessary. His tests are challenging but he puts up study guides and works hard to help students. BEST TEACHER!!

Funny guy. His tests are pretty difficult, nothing like problems assigned. Attendence is mandatory - he had a seating chart and a TA to make sure we came to class. It isnt too difficult if you pay attention, but again tests are difficult.

This class is incredibly challenging. But he is amazing. I had him at 8 am, and he kept me awake every morning! I'm taking him again for 441. He is tough, but worth it. If you ever have a question he is always available. Tests are almost impossible! So don't expect to breeze through the class.

Dr. Stout is probably one of the best accounting teachers you could take. His class can be both a nightmare and very rewarding. Exams are extremely difficult, demanding, and time constrained. There is hope! Attend every class session and do all the homework and you will be OK. You will need to study hard for exams.

Out of my audotiorium class (which was very inconveniently structured with a seating chart) had 180 students. 65% failure rate. Ask Stout about it and see if he diggs himself a hole. You cannot teach accounting without ever writing ANYTHING anywhere!

Excellent lecturer, usually tells jokes in class to keep people focused. However the exams are DIFFICULT, you will find that the hw has nothing to do with the tests, its all VARIATIONS of those problems. grades are curved but that doesnt say much when 94 out of 114+ students fail the exam now does it. Still, no one teaches it better than him.

So hot! Hard to consentrate! Girls, don't sit right in front of him - you'll be destracted! Now, seriosly, he is the best accounting teacher I have ever had. Very helpful in understanding the material and very funny - will keep your attention throughout the whole class. Tests are hard, but doable. Besides, he curves.
