Dr. Leverett is a great teaching and very knowledgable on many subjects. His class is difficult, but only because he expects students to take college seriously. Do not skip class. His tests are based off of his lectures. But you won't want to miss class, because his lectures are fantastic.

One of the best professors I've ever had. While technically attendance isn't required, he has a short 10 pt quiz on assigned reading every class. His tests require a good amount of studying but he grades the papers very easily. Get ahead on reading, study for the tests, and you'll do fine.

I had the pleasure of taking Dr. Leverett for two classes in the same semester, so I had him every day (MWF and TH). Both classes were relatively easy. About 20-25 pages total of essays (About three essays for each class). Study guides are precise and there are no surprises on tests. He takes Reading Reports and they are a significant grade.

Good class. Everything on the tests/quizzes is on the powerpoint so as long as you review them at least once or twice beforehand, you should be fine. He does have weird formatting requirements for papers but he'll go over them with you.

Great man and great professor. If you enjoy theology at all, you will enjoy the class. There's a descent amount of work, but I didn't think any of it was "hard." He was always willing to talk after class and in his office. I still know him outside of class after 2 years.

Lot of material to go over, but Dr. Leverett is able to get to the heart of every subject and explain what you need to know. Test questions are from the homework, three short papers (one 2 page, two 1 page), one easy longer paper. His knowledge and ability to present every side is invaluable. Thrives on participation, loves to hear what you think.

Dr. Leverett got his MA in New Testament backgrounds at UVA, so he really knows his stuff. His preparation for class really showed, and he was always entertaining. One 10-15 page paper, quizzes every class (students write the questions), three short tests. Always helpful, willing to listen, and will answer any question. Best prof at Liberty imo.

He was a great professor. I didn't realize how much I learned from him though until I really started talking to people and taking other religion classes. I would go "hey, I learned that in Theo 201." My biggest pet peeve was how often he laughed at his jokes that weren't funny. But I'm still taking him next semester for Theo 350.

Dr. Leverett is a nice professor teaching an overstuffed course. There is so much material to cover that he sometimes gets lost in it. Also, I had him for a three hour session and we always went the full three hours.

Dr. Leverett is perhaps the best professor I've ever had at Liberty University. His "lectures" are far from boring as he is enthusiastic and eager to answer questions and aid in learning. Granted, he is strict to his rules - but I would have it no other way. If you want to take a challenging but highly interesting Theology class - this is it.
