I am not sure why some people are giving him negative ratings. He is great, and deals with academics like one of the old masters. Very intelligent and in four years of classes, I have only fond memories of him. His culture class is highly recommended!

I had Dr. Orth for Freshman seminar (back in the day) and quite a few German classes. I enjoyed every class with him. I found him to be very laid-back and helpful. I would recommend him. I never felt he was pompous or rude.

This guy needs to be fired. I'm an honors freshman, and it kills me to even talk to him. If you don't know him, he's REAL nice, but if you get to know him, you would soon realize how awfully slow he is!

Definitely not a difficult class. A few short papers to write and an interesting book to read. Outside community service is required, but he's very helpful and cooperative with that. When one of our class' projects didn't work out, he was understanding and helpful. Overall a nice guy and an okay class.
