George is the best professor for ochem. I was scared this class would be hard, but George made it really easy. Getting a B isnt hard at all with the curve and an A is easily doable if you just review 4 days ahead of time. Try to get as many old sample problems as possible, memorize a lot, and youll be fine.

George is the most amazing professor ever! Please take him. Just do it. He actually made MCAT questions and teaches at a higher level. DONT BUY THE BOOK! Go to MANY ta reviews and get good problems from them. George is so nice. He makes you feel comfortable. However, you must study 20+ hours for each exam. Hes the definitive choice for premeds.

George is hands down the greatest professor/teacher I have ever had. His class is definitely tougher than the other sections, but he only does that to challenge you to your max not to be mean. He is so easy to talk to in office hours I'd highly recommend going to him. I have never learned so much in a class before. Class is hard A, but is doable.

George is really entertaining, friendly, and makes a genuine effort to get to know all of his students. His exams are extremely difficult, & your entire grade is based solely on exams because there are no homework, lab, or participation points. His course is NOT an easy A compared to other Ochem profs, but you'll probably enjoy getting to know him.

George is an incredible professor, he is personable and very easy to get along with, and will make an effort to get to know every one of his students. His exams are really rough though, so get ready to WORK and go to as many peer review sessions as you can make it to.

George is definitely the best prof in the chemistry department. His class is easy to understand because he explains everything very clearly. His test is difficult but fair. Always pay 100% attention to what he is talking and do what he ask you to do, then you will be fine(at least not bad).

George is actually one of the best professors I've ever had. I took Ochem 1 two times because I couldn't grasp the concepts. George's lectures actually helped me figure it out. He really wants you to succeed and will help in any way possible. If I had any other professor for Ochem 2, I think I'd still be hopeless. He's retiring so TAKE HIM NOW

By far one of the best professors I've ever had. Took the time to learn my name in a class of 120+ students, answered questions respectfully and thoroughly, explained the material in a very detailed manner, and was just all-around great at teaching. Highly recommend.

George is amazing. He really knows how to explain every concept and is amazing at engaging the class everyday. He wants us all to truly understand ochem. That being said, no matter how hard you study it seems that his exams are still extremely difficult. If you want to work for your grade, take him. For an easy A, take someone else

George is the best professor in the entire chemistry department, if not the best in any science class at pitt. I learned more from George than any other professor ive had. His tests are tough but you learn so much more in his ochem classes than any other teacher. If you want an easy A take someone else, but if you want to truly learn ochem take him

Bandik is one of the best professors I've had at Pitt through my years. That being said, his tests are made specifically to try to trick you. You need to memorize (even though he says ochem is not memorization) every minute detail or you'll get a C at best. I learned A LOT from Bandik, but his tests are awful.

George is flat out the best professor ever. He made me love chemistry enough to pick it up as a double major and take honors organic lab this coming semester. Orgo is naturally hard but he will help you if you ask for it. Definitely take his class if you can.

Let me start by saying that George Bandik is by far the best professor that Pitt's chem department has. He is kind, caring, and ALWAYS willing to help. HOWEVER, he used to write MCAT questions and is VERY theoretically heavy in preparation for a med career and OChem 2. IF YOU'RE AN AVERAGE/STRUGGLING STUDENT, DO NOT TAKE HIM.

George is one of the nicest professors I've had. He's accessible at office hours and doesn't believe in bad questions. His exams are extremely hard. If you're trying to boost your GPA I wouldn't take him. Getting an A is difficult. However, if you're willing to put in the work (which is a lot) then you will learn a lot.

George-most wonderful human and most engaging professor at Pitt. However, if you really just need to make a good grade, there are definitely "easier" professors for that, though O chem at Pitt is hard no matter who you take. Exams are hard, but TA hours help a lot. If you take another prof, sit in on George's lectures for clarification.

Ochem is a piece of work but George explains the material clearly and thoroughly. Truly an amazing guy who, even though he grades solely based on exam scores, takes improvement and effort into account. Visit him and ask questions. If he recognizes you're putting maximum effort into his class, he might give your final grade a boost.

George is the most wonderful professor at pitt. If you have the opportunity to take him for ochem 1 you ABSOLUTLEY should, his exams are challenging but its worth it because You will learn more in this class than any other class at pitt and you will be better prepared for ochem 2 and for the mcat than you could ever imagine

George is by far the best professor at Pitt. Going into OChem, I was absolutely dreading it, but he made it one of my favorite classes I've taken. He's so sweet and genuinely cares for his students. His tests are very difficult, but he prepares you well for them. Definitely take George!!
