Many say that he is a tough grader. Just make sure that you are focused with your essays. Take advantage of the time that he gives you between the first draft to the day the final draft is do. Conference with him more than once if you aren't confident. He's a really nice guy, and very interesting.

Amazing teacher - he knows the subject well and loves classroom debate. His approach to essays is setting a maximum length and allowing you to pick whatever topic you want, as long as it relates to classroom discussion. A real eye-opener.
