I had Dr. Engel for ECE 484 and ECE 476 and he was fantastic in both! If you go to lecture and pay attention you should have no problem getting a good grade. He know his stuff and is very intelligent. The homework and tests are just like the in class examples. He exams are also open notes and open book.

His teaching method and the way he explains stuff, you'll have so much clear concepts about that course. It's not just for credits, if you take his class you'll definitely gain knowledge and feels like you learned something. No need of textbooks. Just attend his class regularly, take notes and do homework properly and you'll be just fine in exam

He is fantastic.Everything is just perfect. The method he used to teach, his through knowledge in typical IC design courses and his communication skill with students. I really enjoyed learning under him without being scared of exams.

I found George to be an excellant instructor and a favorite Professor of mine in the SIU-E EE department. Very down to Earth in his lectures and provides a great atmosphere for class discussion on topics being studied. I never thought of him to be a very hard or very easy instructor. Only as hard as the class he is teaching.
