He comes off as a major dong, but he is honestly a great professor. He is tough but he actually challenges you and if you're up for it you will learn a lot. Typically the textbooks are dookie so I recommend youtubing the content. There are a lot of great videos out there by other professors who explain things better than Fazekas does.

By far my favorite professor. He explains everything very thoroughly, although sometimes he goes too in-depth and confuses people. During our lecture component, he would show us videos used in the actual field. During the lab component, he would show us how to use certain sensors and have us experiment. Would recommend for any course he teaches.

Pretty sure he doesn't know how to finish a sentence. Can't ask questions without him telling you you're an idiot. Doesn't have notes and is completly unorganized and constantly stuttering, VERY unclear about everything. The book doesn't help. ALWAYS late to class and ALWAYS lets class out late. Has a creepy old guy vibe/laugh. Basically useless

At first glance, he might come off a little smug and arrogant, but pass that he is a very fair and tries to help you. He owns up to his mistakes and accommodates the class if he makes an error in judgment. In ENR 157, he had a very firm grasp of the material and his background seems to enhance the lecture.

He expects you to stand on your own. He will teach you every thing you need to know and more, but the tests we're on the difficult end, but doable. If you don't attend class, you WILL do poorly especially later in the course. He uses his experiences in the work field to aid in his teaching, but if you need help he can struggle simplifying.

He tries to get you to stand on your own 2 legs. He knows what you'll need in the workplace and he teaches you. Absolutely amazing, he lets you work with your peers since he knows that's a major part of computer science in the real world. Highly recommend.

He is one of the best CSC/CPT teachers MCC has to offer. No other teacher knows as much as him, is willing to help and explain as deeply as him. The topics he teaches are not easy, but with his help it's easy.

Good class, helpful teacher but EXTREMELY unorganized. Why am I spending only half the course on ACTUAL micro-controllers and assembly language and the other on some silly project? Also, how is one to gauge the difficulty of their final project when they have little to no experience with the given hardware?

Took CSC 206 & 202 with Fazekas. Challenging! George wants you to be resourceful. At work no one is going to explain the details of the software/hardware - look things up, talk to others. As student this drove me crazy. As a professional all I can say is 1.Thanks George. 2.If you need more help track him down! 3.Easy=everyone does it.

He gives the timelines for each assignment and you just need to finish in time and show it to him. After he checks off all of the assignments for each category, he gives a pratcial test for each category which is very easy. You can get an easy A as long as you do the work for this class.

I'm taking Practical Computer Literacy.. SO EASY. He gives you all the assignments the first day of class and tells you that you don't have to come until there all done. Then once the homework is done you take a practical which is rather easy. Then you don't have to come to the class for the rest of the year. Pretty sweet. Class is easy.

I have taken CPT210, CPT215, CSC202, and CSC14 with George, and I think he is a brilliant professor. His lectures can be challenging to follow, however if you take notes it will help a lot. His labs more than make up for his lectures and you will learn tons in them. Be motivated and ask questions. He will go out of his way help on questions.

This guy is tough. Take notes or else risk failing. He will give you concepts that are difficult to grasp unless you're paying attention. This class is not for slackers. If you're excited about the project and stay on top of the quizzes, you'll do well.

A very difficult course for most, with some student effort although, it is manageable. Prof. Fazekas knows the topic very well but is not always as clear or organized as he could be in class. He tends to attempt to answer student questions before hearing the whole question which can be frustrating when he guesses the wrong question.

Here is the deal with Fazekas. He is too smart for his job. He is knowledgeable in a lot of areas and tends to go off on tangents. It has it's pluses and minuses. For those of us that learn in a very structured, standard way, he would be bad for you. For those out of the box thinking IT people, this is a very good proff to teach complex concepts.

Horrid teacher. Avoid for 215; take butler. The project is retarded. It was really awesome when he said he hadn't taught the class in 13 years before last semester. Its supposed to be a networking class, not a labview class. probably better than boettrich, but rory is waay better. he doesn't explain things well or teach, TANGENTS PEOPLE
