Comment:

George is an extremely picky marker. He has no patience for lateness and always wears a suit on test day. Overall a nice man but painfully strict and rigid. He almost seems sadistic in his operation of the classroom. He takes off marks for every tiny mistake and many, many students fail his classes. I would definitely not take George for again.

Comment:

Excellent when it comes to explaining the course material. As long as you come to class and pay attention you'll do great. Some find his marking to be difficult, but he clearly describes EXACTLY how he will be grading and does not deviate from that at all. Do the questions as he does and you won't have any trouble.

I have to say, BEST at explaining the concepts of math and breaking them down. ONLY is nice to you if you come to class and score high on his tests. I wouldn't say tries to trick you on tests but gives you the tricky ones. Go to class, do your 2 hours of home work (AND practice questions on D2L) and you'll probably pass.

I came to this site looking to write this guy up. I am not surprised to find this gentleman has the most comments of any instructor on campus. If your degree in computing has a timestamp from the 1960s on it, and you haven't evolved your own knowledge since then, you probably should not be an instructor. YAY FOR TENURE barf. He also is miserable.

George has a great sense of humor you just have to be intelligent enough to understand it. He gives his students the best that he has got and is more than willing to help you out. He is by far the best instructor that I have ever had for a subject I hated.
