I absolutely love this guy I've takin his classes and i learned and grew from them all! he taught me how to step out of my comfort zone when it came to art. His class is an easy A and fun at the same time! He's very reasonable and its hard to fail.

The most boring class I ever had to take at UCC!!!! All you would do is sit in class while he talks about paintings. I barley showed up to class and still passed. Midterm and Final was an easy A, but I don't recommend taking him unless you want an extra hour of sleep!!

It was a pleasure taking this class and something i would highly recommend. Hildrew is a kindhearted man who will help anyone who asks. He lets you "teach yourself" to a certain degree, which is perfect for students who like some independence. He tells the best stories while you paint and is all together a very interesting character. 10/10

the worst professor ever!! all he does is sit and doesnt teach you anything!! REPLACE HIM UCC OR HIRE MORE TEACHERS FOR FIA110!! i hate how ucc gives you such little options to pick for a subject. this professor made me spend SO MUCH MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!! on painting material for class.

Would definitely take his class again. He made me laugh every time the class met. He is a genuinely nice person and fair grader. Show up, do the work, and you'll be perfectly fine. If you don't buy the textbook then you'll have a hard time finding the answers to his test questions on google or anywhere else.

Best painting professor Ive had. Very personable and is good person to talk to about art in general and has extensive knowledge. Regularly posts events to art shows that students may go see. Good sense of humor and is very hands on with helping students out.

I absolutely LOVE Prof Hildrew. From the time you walk in until the time you leave his class you are drawing. He sorta kinda gives you the lesson and what he's trying to teach you as you're drawing. A kind soul with a hippie personality. He's great and he's passionate about art.

had him for basic design....funny teacher. he's very nice and into his art! this was a required elective. i don't know anything about art. all you have to do is try your best and follow directions. only negative are you have to buy supplies not in bookstore, very expensive and hard to find...paint tubes cost $10 each, ouch!! overall great teacher
