I'm not sure how relevant this will be in this particular forum, but I had Dr. M. as a teacher in the 80's, when I was in grade school. He made a big impact on my life and I will forever have a huge amount of respect for him. He is an inspiration and truly brings honor to his profession.

I took this class online, and it seemed that wasn't the best choice. There were errors in the syllabus and the assignments were complicated without having a direct explanation and immediate feedback. Seems like a nice guy that really cares about teaching though.

One of the best teachers I've ever had!!! He is extremely nice and his class is super easy. There are no quizzes, tests, or exams, just a few fun projects and weekly questions and answers. Really cares about the students and is an excellent professor! Definitely take this class!!!

The best teacher I've had at UAA so far! Amazing man who truely cares about his job and makes you care about becoming a teacher as well. I honestly had fun in his class and will actually use the information I've learned there in my own teaching.

He has an awesome accent but his class does get a little repetative. He keeps you interested in class by involving you in dicussion so time goes by fast. He does tend to repeat himself and you have to speak up in his class, but its a lot more fun than i thought this class would be.

I got the feeling that Mastroyanis hasn't updated his lesson plan in the last decade. He preaches common sense and ended up telling the same stories repeatedly. Though many liked his class I felt like I didnt get anything from it. One of his quotes "Teachers are not the sage on the stage but the guide on the side" - yes that is helpful
