ummm I am not a philosophy major and just took it for a GEC but it ended up just as hard as my other classes. The concepts are too huge to understand if you're not a philos major. There should be other graded materials other than 2 midterms and a final. This class was very difficult for me as he was also very dry and boring.

I loved this class. If you arent really interested in the topic, it would probably be difficult to stay motivated. For me however, I was totally interested in the information, so that class was great for me.

I loved Pappas. I also liked that he is well known in the Philosophy world. My brother-in-law was very excited to learn who my teacher was, as he has a master's in Philosophy. Easy class, just read. No need to really study. A lot of it is common sense.

Pappas is very boring to listen to in lecture but the material is interesting....lectures get really dry as the quarter goes on...the bad this is that the final is 50% of your grade!!! so dont mess up on that. Overall though he isnt too bad he give out the notes online but seems to promote his book too much.

this was a really great class. but you have to go to lecture and take awesome notes. study as you go along too or it becomes way too hard to grasp the concepts at the last minute it you procrastinate. brian taylor-highly recommend him as a TA, he was awesome!!

Nice teacher. Good in explaining, but at first the principles are hazy until he brings them down to earth -- such as his examples. A good person, however, and I am happy to see that he has become chair of his department. Congrats to Dr. Pappas.

This guy is possibly the worst and most boring teacher I have had and probably will have in my life. Plus he tsrangley resembles John Lithgough who played Dick on third rock from the sun. He played a professor on the show, coincidence, I think not.
