Comment:
George is brilliant in his subject matter and a nice prof but if you're considering taking a grad-level course with him, I recommend that you avoid it like the plague. This is by far the most demanding course I have ever taken, with unclear guidelines and extremely complicated material. Unless you're a hardcore theory buff, go with something else.

Pavlich is really quite brilliant, straightforward, and helpful. Beyond this, he made the class interesting and entertaining. I would jump on an opportunity to take another course with him; especially if it weren't within the realm of criminology.

class was easy - there were a couple of boring days, but that was only because no one in the class had anything interesting to say. I am sure that he would be great in a seminar. take your own notes because the webct notes didn't go over everything. go to class because a lot of questions on the exam came straight from class discussion

awesome subject but classes were either super boring or stimulating. Prof was funny and motivated but lectures weren't very specific, mainly dicussion with a few annoying hardcores. Notes are straight from book so you don't even need to go to class.

His lectures were awesome most of the time sometimes there would be super boring days... his exams follow his outline to the max so even if he hasnt had a lecture on it it will still be in the exam so you have to read the text... otherwise hes prett great.

Nice teacher, fair exams but got absolutely nothing out of his lectures. He babbles a lot and I found it very uninteresting and difficult to sit through a full 80 minutes. I suggest to not waste your time and just stay at home to read his powerpoints.

By far the best course I took at the University Here I am 2 years later, still raving about him. He manages to make the classes interesting; whether its playing 'Lose my Faith in You' by Sting or telling stories about socks - he makes it work!
