Berendt is such a nice person. He truly cares about his students and shows a genuine interest in your well-being. He is a very funny person. The classroom atmosphere is very relaxed, but briefs are mandatory. He teaches you exactly what will be on the test, which makes the curve tight.

This guy is great. You will learn alot, and he really knows contract law and how to provide the information to you. Need I say more he wrote the text book. If you show up to class, pay attention and do your reading you will be fine. His classes are entertaining and extremely engaging. Take him whenever you can. You will not e sorry.

I got a C+ and was hoping the test would be harder...it turned out to be too easy, and thus every trivial mistake was fatal. Just go to class and listen to him...write down everything that is not on his powerpoint.

Sure Berendt is in love with himself, but so am I. He may come off as arrogant to those who don't understand the finer points of irony, but he is very intelligent and very self-depricating. I enjoyed his class thoroughly with even a marginal interest in contracts.

Just as demanding as any law school class should be, but he is always available to help out if you need it. He loves what he does and does it well. He won't throw you any curve balls on his exam and as long as you are on top of the material, as you should be, you won't have a problem excelling in his class.

Don't know what these other reviewers were talking about, but this guy made a boring class pretty interesting. good teacher, but not a class you can slack off in. but its law school, so thats a given. very fair exam, every question we at least discussed somewhat in class.

First off...I got an A in this class. But Berendt is an absolute joke. This guy would, and most likely has, failed in the real world. JMLS should get rid of this guy. I can't even stand to see him in the stairwell. He is a disgrace who probably takes credit for the bar passage increase by the students. He is a loser, always will be!

I would rather have ripped every hair out of my head than to sit through his class. He is not only full of himself, but condescending to students. His multiple choice was pretty hard, but the essays were ok. Make sure to get a venti in order to sit through his class!!
