Comment:

Professor Smith i super sweet and really cares about his students and his success. His teaching style is very routine so you know exactly what you are going to do each class period. You have a quiz pretty much weekly and the tests are difficult. Do exercises and problems!! The help you understand the material better!

Comment:

Gerald Smith is a great guy but it's not that easy, if you go to class, do the homework, and give effort you'll be fine. He isn't the best teacher but he truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He grades mostly on exams and quizzes. He'll give out study guides and maybe curves your grade at the end if close to a letter grade.

Comment:

Would not recommend. You take two days to read out of the book and then gives you homework. Homework takes multiple hours and you don't receive credit. You then take quizzes worth 5 points. Gives 3 exams and then cumulative final. Doesn't teach, just talks at you. Tests are hard, no extra credit. Save yourself the time and money, don't take him.

Class is pretty challenging. Doesnt give out any + or -'s for grades so an 89% is a B. Tests requires lots of studying. Class is just going over homework that you have to do but isnt graded. Teach yourself by constantly reading the book. Funny dude though. Groves needs to work on his golf game he always says. Whoever that is..

Overall good guy but awful professor. He goes through the chapter fast and spends 2 days on homework (which is mandatory, but for no credit). Doesn't know how to teach but is very knowledgeable about accounting. Read over the book hit on all the concepts from each chapter not just the problems. Wouldn't recommend. Lot better professors out there.

He takes a day or two to read off his notes about the chapter. then he spends the next 2 days going over homework (which is mandatory to do but it isn't graded. wtf) there are 13 quizzes (lowest 3 are dropped) 3 exams and a comprehensive final exam. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM. you will have to put in EXTRA EXTRA WORK outside of class.

Dr. Smith is a funny guy. The class is overall pretty meh. You really learn the applications but the concepts are what will get you. He is a great guy though and will continue to have conversation with you if you talk to him.

Super nice professor... Just doesn't teach the material well. The tests are very hard, they consist of half accounting problems and half concepts from the chapters.. We barely every talked about concepts in class so be prepared to read the book. Also have your homework done because you normally just go over it in class

Professor Smith cares greatly about his students' understanding of class material. He loves getting questions and is really good at giving clear answers. Homework consists of LearnSmart and Connect assignments that are very beneficial to your understanding of class topics. With extra test questions, he lets you earn your own curve.

This class was very fun and Mr. Smith was always good about trying to keep a smile on everyones face! He really knows his stuff and trys to get people to learn things in the most comfortable way for them. I would highly recommend his course because you can learn a lot about math and will have fun doing so.

Gerald is a funny guy. He is a great professor. You will have homework problems each day but it helps you learn the material. He collect and grades 12 random problems throughout the semester. Test are easy. He has extra credit available for each test. Take this class with him.

Comment:

Great teacher! Easy to follow and goes through all of the problems that he assigns. My class averaged 80% on our tests as a whole, which is pretty good! He gives a little bit of e.c. on tests, but I wouldn't bank on it. The online Connect problems required are very similar to stuff he explains in class. Good professor, take him!
