Take every class Mags teaches! He is amazing, his lectures make you think about application of the law rather than just the rule. He is truely brilliant and you can feel his genius rubbing off on the class with every lecture. He makes you want to come to class and make Torts fun!

Taught Intellectual Property seminar. The test was a take-home. Professor Magliocca does not cold call. Material can be dry. Entertains and encourages questions.

I've had Mags for three different classes and have enjoyed him each time. He is brilliant but as others have mentioned, he did not really put the "big picture" together in some classes. He cold calls in 1L classes and you do need to be on the ball. But he did not cold call in 2L class and it was purely volunteer only.

I had Professor Magliocca for both Con Law and Torts, and he wasn't bad. He's brilliant, and I think sometimes organizing his thoughts in a way that's easy for students to understand is a challenge for him. Nonetheless, I managed to sift through his lectures and do well. You can too.

Professor Magliocca is the ultimate law professor. He is brilliant and engaging and will challenge anything you say. He also happens to be incredibly charming and witty. It is very difficult to not become completely enamored with him.

Comment:
Prof. Magliocca is funny and engaging, like a quirky stand-up comedian. His Maritime Law course is fun (and not hard). I did not, however, think highly of him as a Torts prof: he did a good job of teaching concepts, without ever putting the big picture together. Wanted to see "original thinking" over grasp of material on the Torts final; good luck.

Great teacher, although the class can be boring. Professor very knowledgeable and approachable. He cold calls, but not in a mean manner and is understanding. Final was open book (notes and internet too) and straight forward.

He is has a very theoretical slant to discussion and glosses over details (you have to get the basics from the book and other sources), BUT if you read and are well prepared his discussions are engaging = will go anywhere with a topic. Smart, funny, and actually admits if he doesn't know something. TAKE ANY OF HIS CLASSES IF POSSIBLE!!

Helpful, intelligent, nerdy, and responsive. Takes course evaluations to heart, and changes his approach based on those suggestions. Will be better every semester because of it.
