Prof McDonald is the sweetest teacher and by far the best Math teacher i've had since attending Loyola. His lectures can sometimes get confusing but he tries VERY hard to help you in some other way. His quizes are extra credit, his exams are fairly easy. they're reviews and last year's exam so you can practice

I'm not good at calculus but he made it understandable. The gives 3 test and 3 bonus quizzes and a final. The class is not very hard if you show up. A fair grader and can be funny. I've taken his class twice (pre-calculus and calculus).

He can't really explain things very well. When he initially teaches it, he doesn't use any example problems. Instead, he just gives an overall concept and then expects you to figure out the homework problems. However, he doesn't collect homework and is sometimes entertaining.

He is so sweet. If I could take him home I definitely would. He teaches things quickly, but if you haven't seen alot of this stuff you shouldn't be in his class. Go down a math level and save your GPA. Overall, a good teacher. I liked him alot and I'll miss him next semester.

I like him, but he's sucks at teaching at the board. He goes much too fast and he'll only write examples of problems and solve them. HOWEVER...there are 2 very good things about him: 1) He's nice, sweet, quirky, HILARIOUS! 2) Getting an 'A' is a piece of cake! Study for your test (get at least an 80) and ace your quizes, and the 'A' is a gimmie!

This man is crazy, when he's at the board he gets carried away. It's more like talking to himself then teaching the students. He goes very quickly when he's explaining problems so stay awake for EVERY second. Exams are similar to the pratice exams he hands out so try to study from those, do hw if you wanna understand the problems

well i can't say he was difficult, but he wasnt easy...this is a "teach it yourself" class...he RUNS through material literally (and hes a runner)but he'll delight you with his funny charm and jokes...3 quizes are 10 points each (all extra credit) no curving on tests, and they are hard...if you take him i advise you to do the HW and STUDY for test.

I do not understand the previous comment. Mr. McDonald is undoubtedly one of the best math teachers I've ever had, and the best math teacher I have encountered at Loyola. His tests are very similar to his practice tests, and his study guides are very helpful. He is a wonderful teacher; take him.

I really do not understand why there are so many good ratings for this teacher. His practice tests are nothing like his real tests this year. Is not clear of what will be on the test, does not allow enough time to take his tests. There is alot of extra credit, to outweigh bad test scores.

McDonald was extremely fun! He explained things very well and he took days to go over just the homework and nothing else! Would definitely recommend him for a teacher! The tests were VERY easy as long as you studied off of the packet that he gave you! Great teacher!!

He is a prof that u should definitely take. He takes his time in explaining everything. He is a fun prof. He also gives study guides before the exam so you will know what to expect on the exam. I will definitely recommend him. If he was teaching Math 131, I would've taken him again. TAKE HIS CLASS!
