WORST CLASS I have ever taken. I am an Economics minor. I have never done so poorly in a class. He refuses to allow for extra credit. Tests are ridiculously difficult. His online lecture videos are horribly boring. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Save yourself the trouble and do not take ECO 310 online with him. I learned a lot, but the amount of reading and material we had to take in was ungodly. Please, do not take him. Please. It's not worth it.

He posts a lot of videos on blackboard that are kind of boring but are the best way to learn the material. Tests are tough but if you watch the videos you can pretty much guess what is going to be on it. If grades are bad he is fair about grading. Overall I think he's a really smart man and a good professor.

Prof Karam is very knowledgeable and a good teacher if you pay attention. His lectures may be above the average Pace student's quality so this can be a problem if you're not interested or not willing to do your homework. I'm a business major and I adjusted to his teaching style and got an "A" but I didn't expect to be entertained, just learn.

Goo Person, knows a lot about economics. Does not know how to teach it though. He's all over the place, talks about something different whenever you ask a question.

Wonderful person! Knowledgable: yes. But he regurgitates information. You don't learn much except supporting statistics and generalized views. He does call attention to interesting sources. Frankly, no one would pass the multiple choice tests without a curve. I'm strangely both unimpressed with and much more knowledgeable for having taken the class

Professor Karam is a good guy, but his lectures are dull. You don't need to come to class to do well - there are 4 exams: 2 based on the textbook and 2 based on the readings he gives. He'll occasionally take attendance but attendance isn't mandatory. Weekly blog posts, final paper, and four exams. Read thoroughly and you'll do fine.

2 test, weekly blog comments and a final paper. He won't tell you what to study for the tests which makes things very stressful but as long as you take good notes and understand the material, you shouldn't have a problem with the course. Didn't use the textbook even though he said to, his recorded lectures were enough.

Karam is amazing. He changed my view of the world and woke me up to some really interesting viewpoints. His ability to tie relations to economics, politics, and the environment is breathtaking. Very adaptable to the capabilities of the class and generous in his grading.

His way of teaching can be confusing but the class can easily catch on to what he teaches if they pay attention in class. The textbook manufacture sells a study guide which is very helpful. Listen in class + do well on the 3 test(curved) =passing. If you don't want to pay attention and attend every class don't take his class you won't do good.

Very intelligent, however he is condescending and disrespectful when you ask him questions, almost to the point to where I am hesitant to ask. No assistance in emphasizing what is important in the mounds of reading. This leads to confusion and stress for exams, as he gives no study guide and you have no idea going in what topics are most important.

He is the worst professor I've had at Pace. I am always on time, always do my work and am very respectful yet he got extremely mad at me for leaving class ONE time when I had a valid reason. He doesn't know how to teach even though he knows everything. Nothing he says in class is on the test. DON'T TAKE HIM

"Let's assume for the sake of the argument" lol. Brilliant, Ivy league material. You can learn A LOT if you apply yourself. Definitely not an easy A. Strict grader, grades on a curve. Takes attendance only when he feels like it. 3 exams and a paper.

Karam is not one of my favorite professors. He's a good guy and all, but his class was a little too much. He expected us to know more about the economy than we should and the tests, though their multiple choice, are pretty difficult.

Professor Karam is one of the WORST professors at Pace. He may be knowlegeable when it comes to economics, but just because he is doesn't mean he knows how to teach! He has NO structure in his class what-so-ever, his test are EXTREMELY hard, and you basically have to teach yourself all the material. DONT TAKE HIM, SAVE YOURSELF!

Karam is a bonified economist. If you want to learn something about economics, he is a wealth of information. But, he will NOT spoon-feed you info to simply regurgitate--you have to do the work. If you like thinking & reading, and want to really learn something, take him. If you are lazy, DON'T. Also, he is actually really nice, just odd.

He is very knowledgeable. He holds interesting views that may seem controversial yet he helps open your eyes to a new way of thinking. Those views can keep you engaged during class. I really enjoyed his class. The articles he gives can be lengthy and sometimes hard to follow. Sometimes he's not clear in the papers he gives, which can be a problem.

He is very knowledgeable, but he is not a good teacher for an introductory level course. He is quite unclear and has no structure in his class. If you want to get a good grade you will probably have to read the textbook extensively.
