Difficult to follow his lectures, but the book is incredibly good. Would help if students had some mathematical analysis background for a few sections. Tests were very fair. Prof very helpful when seen at office hours (spent about a week thinking through a problem I asked him and came back to me afterwards; that's dedication)

This guy is impossible to understand. His accent is just way too thick to comprehend what he says. The material is difficult enough without having to deal with his accent. Take Algorithms with Daniels if you can.

I took everyday computing with this guy thinking it would be an easy class to raise my GPA...I WAS DEAD WRONG....hes strict, harsh grader and cant even speak english well enough to understand the guy, such an awful class that i had to withdraw.....

Professor is very good person. As such DPL is tough but he tries his best to explain. Helpful when you contact him for doubts in assignments and in the subject. His exams are tough but he does scales at the end.

You could just read the book--if you really understand what's going on. It's not bad. Pecelli tries really hard, especially since he was using Martin's old notes. His lectures aren't always the most lively and almost all of the grades are scaled. They have to be.

He is too smart and gives too much respect for his students. I did very badly in the class and passed the course simply people did worst than me. It is better to study on your own and his lecture is not helpful. Unless you read before class. Well, that is not exactly true.

Very smart and knows what he's talking about. He is very willing to help a student if he/she needs help. He often strays the topic during class but its usually somewhat relevant information. Overall a good teacher with a good attitude.

Likes to lecture a lot. All lectures available online. Problem sets get shorter over time, but are long. If you're in Honors, don't let him do anything "experimental"--there will be no material to read yourself if you get lost. Reading the book
