To be honest, after a semester I don't feel like I know very much Italian, nor do I feel like I received the grade I deserved. Don't get me wrong, Giovanna is really nice and really fun... Awesome professor. Class was super easy, although her tests are kind of confusing at times. She's kind of disorginized. You also have to be self motivated, cause I felt like I wasn't really learning except when I had to study for quizzes and tests.

Best professor ever!! Took her for three semesters in a row, simply because she is that amazing! She treats you more like a friend than a teacher, but makes sure you are learning. SHE IS AWESOME

how can you not love Giovanna?? classes are fun, shes funny and really friendly, and you still learn a lot. tests are hard but the final is usually toned down a bit. And there's always a chance to a watch a good italian movie or two..

Giovanna surprises you with poor grades but her corrections are precise and it's your job to learn the skills. She's always willing to go over exercises that will help you. Tests are hard, but they are mostly one-sentence answers and fill in the blank. Speaks in Italian a LOT so listen well!

This class was initally confusing, but later fun. Giovanna is spunky and funny, however, not always the most clear when it comes to tests. She grades quite fairly. Good intro class i would recommend

Giovanna's totally weird but lots of fun. I felt like I wasn't learning anything at first, but you can teach yourself from the book which the tests follow closely. After all, it's only 1st semester. You have to completely not try at all to get below a B.

She replaced our first professor after she had to leave the school for a while. Considering the little notice she had, she was very good at stepping in to teach our class. She is very friendly and willing to help; she is easy to talk to since she is young, too.

Giovanna was a great teacher. If she spoke in Italian, well, that is maybe because she's supposed to teach that language. My current L 112 teacher speaks mostly in English, and believe me, that doesn't help at all. Plus, you didn't need an excuse to skip
