20 years later, I am now a full professor myself. Dr. Cunningham was a huge inspiration and I still think about his lectures a lot. I loved his classes! I actually modeled the first class that I taught based on his biochemistry lectures, even though my subject is different. Thank you!

Student from way back in 2003/2004. Worst teacher I EVER had! Main problem was his tests were impossible to finish unless you could recall info. at lightning speed. Also graded too arbitrarily. If your answer "felt" like what he wanted,word-for-word, it was correct. Very cold/harsh. Two miracles that came too late: Cunningham retiring,Selby gone.

It is well known that honors students are some of the biggest slackers out there. I know I used to be one. He is retired now but his course was outstanding. Very difficult, but you learned. Maybe you should drop the honors program and major in business or psych or something like that.

Who allowed these morons to take HONORS classes? Are they really complaining about being allowed to sit in the presence of a genius. Boo hoo, you have to actaully work for your grade. Cry me a river. This guy is an incredible teacher. It is a shame that he retired because now the Biochem. classes are sub-par, at best. HONORS...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

He's extremely difficult as others have said. If you do a lot (hours and hours a week) of studying, you will do all right, but if you rely on only his notes and examples (or lack thereof), you will fail miserably. Study the book and work very hard if you take him. Nice, helpful guy.

Hey Guys, appreciate the man. I'm in pharmacy school now and if it wasn't for his class I would not be doing so well. The class is extremely difficult, but if you go to his office and he sees your face you'll do a lot better on the exams!! Hope this helps !!

I've had selby and cunningham and I'd take cunningham any day. He is insanely hard, but you learn a ton and it IS possible to get an A if you really study and learn. And despite the reputation, he is very friendly and helpful teacher unlike selby.

This is one of the hardest undergraduate classes offered in the entire university. Please study hard from day 1, it's the only way you stand a chance to passing. I never thought I'd get below a 30% on a test in college......I was wrong. Good luck.
