Comment:

He's passionate about the field he teaches, but he teaches and presents info poorly. His classes are long and extremely boring because he is very soft spoken. Gives a lot of reading homework every week. Participation in discussions will help give you an A in the class. He isn't clear about what he wants in group presentations and group papers.

You can tell he's very passionate about what he's teaching, but the lectures are sooooo long and not that interesting. Half the class is that and the other half are discussion groups where you need to speak in order to get an A.

Comment:

Split the class into four groups for the second half of class every day. Three groups were lead by TA's and one was lead by him. Explained the final project during each of these second periods, so we all had instructions by separate people. Come final presentation, he insulted nearly every student for not understanding the instructions.

I'm sure you can tell from seeing the same things over and over on this page, the common trends are that he's very closed-minded about what he wants but at the same time not specific with his instructions, and constantly changes his opinion. Glenn is obsessed with the idea of "college level work" but never defines it. He is a parody of himself.

The Lectures are very boring - but that's more subjective, the assigned readings are long and time consuming. The advice he gives for your presentation project is very vague and expects you to know what he's talking about. The Guidelines for the presentation project aren't very clear either. You also must participate in the discussions.

Here I lay in the romantic setting of a night time beach. It has been three days into our honeymoon, with no sign of our passion for each other or New Media fading anytime soon. There are stars above us, and there is a soothing crashing of waves breaking the silence. As our lips meet, I can feel his member press up against me. The rest is history.

You first get top the class and you think "He's just a stern teacher, he's not trying to sound mean." Then, he tells you to do a project and not explain what he wants very well and insults you in front of the class. Also... What he tells you: Discuss this theory on digital media. What he means: Tell me why this theory is correct.

Honestly, he was one of the toughest professors I have ever had. But, if you do the work and you try really hard, you will get on his good side and and get a good grade. Never sleep in his class!

This is the second time in four years that I've had this professor, both times were REQUIRED. Had I not been required to take his classes I can assure you I never would have. He is long-winded, extremely opinionated, and unbelievably pretentious. If you get on his bad side (which is easy to do) you likely will not pass. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I had a blast taking Glen's class. He was really informative and he really let us get a feel for the bolex and do our best to capture what we wanted. He made us feel like filmmakers for the first time in college and I thank him for letting me know I didn't want it badly enough!
