Comment:

If it's clear to him that you are tried on your own and STILL don't get it, he won't be condescending. He is annoyed by people who put in no effort and expect hand holding. He is funny and I rather enjoy his class. Not overly hard, but not a walk in the park. He is pretty lenient and appreciates engaged thinkers. He explains in-depth in lecture.

He open up first day of class with "I believe it is the students responsibility to teach themselves, I am a last resort." Then every class he would go up to the board introduce a question and then give us the answer with no explanation. If we asked how he got there he would make fun of us to the class. His comments on homework also made fun of us.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER. He doesn't know how to explain things, assumes his students know more than they do, and will insult you to your face if you don't understand something. He didn't have a book for our class and typed his own notes which are littered with typos. The examples he provides are lacking in detail and explanation. I Hope he gets fired.

We didn't have a textbook it was all his notes. He had at least 3 corrections to his notes per day and would call you dumb if you asked him a question. Worst Professor! Avoid if possible.

The worst professor I've had in my entire college career & I graduate in three days. He's so disrespectful, gets frustrated if you ask questions, & gives no direction as to what he expects for the course. And I think he grades on a DOWNcurve. I got an A on the final, B on midterm & a C in the class. I asked how & he wouldn't clarify. 10yr sucks.

This man is the worst professor I've ever had! He's rude to people, gets irritated when people don't understand the material, and doesn't tell you anythin about the upcoming exams. I have one tomorrow and I have no idea what's on it. He just gives you the notes and says figure it out.

He never gave our class a syllabus, so as a class, we had no idea how the final grade was weighted. In reality, he didn't decide on how it was weighted until about a week before the course ended, so no one knew if they were failing or not until it was almost too late. Luckily, he grades on a curve, so you'll still pass without learning a thing.

Hey always finds one person to pick on. For my class, there was a girl with a disability, and he always picked on her more than anyone else. Also, we never got a syllabus. The only good thing about him, is that he curves at the end of the semester so that you don't fail, and he doesn't look bad.

Gordon Wade is a terrible professor! I only stayed in his class for four days before switching to the same class with another professor. He was so confusing and was extremely RUDE. He would pick on the same girl everyday who had trouble with math and was constantly laughing at his students for not understanding the material. So happy I got out!

Worst math teacher I have ever had. Rambled aimlessly, wasted entire class periods, was never on track. He's also one of the rudest people I've ever met. It's not so much that he's hard- he just doesn't communicate what he expects, doesn't teach at all, and theres no way to make up your grades from the awful exams. Avoid at all costs.

I rather enjoyed this instructor. He had interesting ideas and I just didn't have the same experience as these other raters. He was very clear, very laid-back, and I'd highly recommend him as a teacher.

This teacher should not be a teacher. He has called many students i our class incompetent. He never is at office hours. He schedules appointments with students then doesn't show up (happened to me 3 times). His grading is ridiculous. Our entire class is failing. AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS!You will not learn from him.

I took this class a few years ago, and failed. I took it a year later with a different professor, and got the highest grade in my class. I asked him to explain a problem I got wrong on the HW to find that he graded it wrong, and apologized for ME wasting the classes time!

Dr. Wade is a rather good teacher. I took this course fall '09. The rest of my class was incompetent at the college level; he refused to hold their hands. Wade is competent, gives plenty of examples, and simply ASKS his students to THINK. I guess some have troubles with this. He encourages all-around understanding. not "monkey see, monkey do"

Mr. Wade is one of the most ridiculous teachers I have ever had. He is extrememely rude, he makes people feel stupid, he is not interested in helping, he doesn't return e-mails, and his exams are very difficult. I learned nothing from him, and I had to teach myself throughout the semester. His favorite quotes "I don't get how you don't get this."

WARNING: DO NOT listen to ANYONE who says he is a GOOD teacher. His teaching skills are horrible. IF you take this teacher then be ready to teach yourself or get help from others in the class!! All I can say is TERRIBLE!!=( (everything said on here minus the good stuff are TRUE!)

Does not teach much in class, gets annoyed by questions. He is inconsistent with grading, sometimes takes weeks to get back homework that is needed to study for exams. Exams are extremely hard, definitely the take home. He is mean to students who do not understand the material, and picks favorites to talk to during class about unrelated subjects

I almost didn't take this professor because of these reviews...but they're wrong! Dr. Wade is an excellent teacher, enjoys and knows the material, jokes around with students, and is respectful of the class. Dr. Wade has turned out to be one of the better math professors in the department. Misleading reviews...glad I took his class after all!!!
