Very humorous teacher. I'm glad I was in band last semester (Fall 2009) because I would have never had him as a director since he's retiring next month =( He made band class lively and that's why I enjoyed coming to class =)

he's a nice guy who tells a lot of stories...but i've heard them ALL a bazillion times already...he can be pretty biased, too...and has a hard time keeping his stories straight if you confront him about grades, seating, etc.

Rehearsals don't 'teach' anything, just works on playing right notes. No explanation of the meaning behind the music. Needs higher standards past technique. Doesn't fix many playing mistakes. Only one concert per semester. Show up, get an 'A'.
